brown blood after exam?

in 3rd Trimester
I had my first internal exam today and now I'm lightly bleeding brown blood.  I'm sure this is normal, but anyone else experience this?

    Yes it's normal. Same thing happened to me. If it gets heavier, call your doctor.

    Thanks!  Yea, it hurt like a b*tch getting that exam too!  I'd figure with all the technology they'd figure a better way to check you internally.  Say small camera that zooms in?  I dunno, just complaining.  But thank you for responding!

    really?  Then I think I'll refuse next time at my 37 week appt.  No need, since baby still has time.  Thank you for this info!

    Yep! Totally normal, usually lasts about 24 hours. And yes, those exams hurt!! Not just while the doctor is doing it, but also afterwards with all of the cramping and BH contractions. I've been dreading it every week, but I keep having the exams because I'm just so curious to find out how things are progressing!
