Breastfeeding

Almost 9 months

I have alway had problems with pumping. I just don't respond well to pumps, of any kind, but I was able to squeak out 2-4oz in the morning. I send 2oz to daycare for breakfast and I feed her twice during the day. My baby is almost 9 months old. I have suddenly stopped being able to pump just that small amount!! Any tips? I could probably drink more water, but other than that, looking for suggestions!!!

Re: Almost 9 months

  • My LO is almost 9 months too, and I feel like my supply may be somewhat dipping too. There's a chance AF may be returning, if you haven't had her already. Also, I think as they take in more solids your milk supply may cut back a bit. Try the usual tips: eating oatmeal, increasing water, etc. and hopefully you'll be able to get some from the pump. Also make sure there aren't any tears in the membranes on your pump, because that can affect your pump's performance. GL!
