STMs or new moms: how to warm a bottle?

Not in general but I believe dd is starting her 3 week growth spurt and I have an OB appt today so DH will be watching her in the waiting room (I haven't been cleared to drive yet). Well if she goes into a fit and needs to be fed how do u warm up the bottle?

  • Not sure if he'll have access to the restroom there. Depends how busy they are.

  • I fill up a small Tupperware of warm water and stick the bottle in for a few minutes.
  • Agree with PP - I'd maybe try at home with some that has been in the fridge just so you aren't figuring how if LO will take it there in the Dr's office.  We were warming the bottles in water but in my 3 am sleep deprived state, I just pulled the bottle out of the fridge and used it and he didn't seem to notice the difference!  And most of his feedings are still him being nursed, so it's definitely a chance from what he's used to.

  • We don't warm bottles either. Both girls have taken bottles right from the fridge without issue.

  • I run them under warm water, about half the time. The other half I just pull out of the fridge. The first few sips he doesn't love but he finishes every bottle.
