NBR: That Sherlock show (possible spoilers)

I think there are a few here that watch it, right? Anyway, my DVR taped the first episode of season 3 since it is called "Masterpiece" and Downton Abbey is called "Masterpiece", too. I've heard good stuff about it. Is it worth it to watch this episode or do you really need to start from the beginning?

OMG OMG OMG! I love Sherlock so hard.

Honestly, I'd recommend watching it from the beginning. There's so much character development and build up to certain things that I think it would be a bummer to start in season 3. I think you'd still enjoy it, but it would be better to watch from the beginning.

Andplusalso, I thought this was going to be a thread about the first episode of the 3rd season and I was ready to bust out my inner Cumberbitch and discuss theories. Now I'm a little sad.

Hahaha. @snowpants! I'm more than happy to change the title to include spoilers and bow out. I think based on what you and @mrsdbc said, I would rather watch from the beginning.

I'm the type of nerd that is so infatuated with Sherlock that I went online and found the episodes right after they aired in the UK. I've seen the entire third season at least 3times over already and cannot get enough of it.
I don't want to post spoilers but the third episode may be some of the best tv I've ever seen. Ever.

@JNerd and @michellev10 I've seriously considered just watching all the episodes but opted to wait and watch them with some friends who also love the series. We had a party at my house Sunday night and it was fabulous. I know other people who've also seen the whole 3rd season and also loved it.... I'm so darn excited!

I don't normally get this obsessed with a show - but this one makes me weird. I watched the first episode of series 3, then immediately watched it again. Then again the next night. Having waited so long for a new episode... it blew my mind.

@snowpants DH and I have this really weird thing about not streaming it from online (ie not legit) sources. Not to say that we didn't do this in the past, but it's become this thing with us (we got into a huge argument with friends about it - they felt that they should be able to do it, we didn't think it was a great idea to steal content).

So after we watched the first episode of the season Sunday night, I sighed.. resisted the urge to go search the torrents, and started watching Downton Abbey
