Teeth..

LO is cutting four!!!!! He's 8 weeks 3 days! God help us! Or God help my boobs!

He hasn't been whiny or anything so hopefully they come through easy for him!

Re: Teeth..

  • Are you for real?!?? That's insane. I'm dreading the day when O starts to cut teeth. GL

  • No way! Your poor boobs!  I hope your LO has a great latch.  L was still trying to figure things out by 8 weeks.  So, I can't imagine adding teeth into the mix.  Good luck to both you and LO.
  • How can you tell? M has been drooling and rubbing her mouth but I don't feel anything.

B is really drooly and gums at his hands and my fingersand his paci. I'm wondering if he's starting to teethe but I don't feel anything either.
When we went to the pedi on Wednesday she said they start drooling a lot now but it doesn't necessarily mean teething. So, I don't know. I guess I'll wait for constant crying and to when I can feel something in there.

  • I'm for a loss here. H had a fussy couple days last week and I notice more drool and chewing of the hands. I checked and saw "pressure" white on the her bottom gums. She is back to normal now, so I have no clue.

He was drooling a lot! And I felt around in his mouth and felt four little hard spots poking through and I had read they can teeth as early as 6 weeks! So when DH didn't believe it was teeth I had my mom confirm and it's definitely teeth! He's been protesting naps for 2 weeks and now he's sleeping a lot more so I guess sleep is how he deals with it? I sure hope that is the case lol.

I don't know if you're into "it" but all of my friends swear by those Amber necklaces for teething. We plan on getting M one very soon.

I've never heard of those. I'll look into it. We have teethers but I haven't tried any yet. I'm going to today but he doesn't like to hold things yet. So I don't know how it'll go.

    Edit: quote messed up
  • Oh wow! That is crazy early, but my DD1 was a super late teether. I don't think she got teeth until she was almost 1.

I didn't get any until my first birthday. I cut four on the day of my first birthday party (my mom said it was the worst party in history lol) and didn't lose my last baby tooth until I was 15! That's why I was so surprised he's cutting already!
  • DS has been acting like he is teething- drooling, fussy, chewing on his hands/Sophie/his Blankie/anything he can get his hands on, so I felt around and it feels like he is getting a tooth on the top-- which I know isn't where first teeth usually are.  I guess we'll see.  I was going to get an amber teething necklace for his Easter basket, but that might have to happen sooner.

They start to really produce saliva and not sure how to swallow it all.

I had my last baby tooth removed last year at 31, no joke.

    Omg! That's crazy!

LO is starting to fuss more because his teeth are coming in and all his teethers are to big to fit in his mouth right so I just wash my hands good and let him chew on my finger and massage his gums. Seems to be helping him. I feel so bad for him. Must be hard to be in pain and not really understand what's going on..
