Meal Planning Monday

I didn't see this started yet. What are you eating this week?

  • Sunday: Rice, lima beans, italian sausage peppers and onions

    Monday: Mac n Cheese and Weiners and fruit smoothie

    Tuesday: Crock pot pork chops with mushroom soup, potatoes, and broccoli

    Wednesday: Tilapia, cous cous, fruit smoothie

    Thursday: Fajitas, black beans and quinoa, lima beans

    I only plan for 5 dinners a week! Maybe if we actually eat in Friday or Saturday we'll have pancakes MMMM!

  • Sunday: lemon pepper chicken with brown rice and corn
    Monday: hamburgers with sautéed onions and Swiss cheese
    Tuesday: pork chops, mashed potatoes and green beans

    That's all I've got for now lol

  • Monday:  Baked ziti with sausage, salad
    Tuesday:  Leftover baked ziti
    Wednesday:  Steak, crash hot potatoes, brocolli
    Thursday:  Salmon, wild rice, green beans
    Friday:  Pizza night!

    This is all assuming I'm not too lazy to go to the grocery store tonight.  I feel like its going to be a zoo since we might get snow tomorrow.

    Wednesday: Teriyaki stir fried veggies over rice noddles
    Thursday: Leftovers
    Friday: Veggies and a creamy white sauce with pasta and chicken

    I try to do two weeks at a time cause thats when we get paid.

    Also wanted to throw out there that have tried 2 recipes that I learned from this thread: Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala! Orange Chicken is up next. I don't remember who posted these recipes but thanks ladies!

    Monday- leftovers from our football party
    Tuesday- ranch pork chops and mashed potatoes
    Wednesday- zucchini quiche and rice
    Thursday- ravioli and salad
    Friday- grilled cheese and soup
    Saturday- subs
    Sunday- pulled pork
  • Monday - chicken biscuit pot pie
    Tuesday - Teryaki beef and orange peppers stir fry
    Wednesday - left over pot pie

    And that is as far as I have gotten

    Thursday - Frozen pizza, it's my late night at work
    Friday - Salmon with teriyaki sauce, rice pilaf, carrots
    Saturday - Friends are visiting, going to our favorite pub... I'm DD this year!

  • Did some thinking about what is in the house for the rest of the week and I think I will finish the week with

    Thursday - dumpling and veggie soup
    Friday - chicken cutlets and carrots

    Wednesday: butternut squash with whole grain pasta
    Thursday: barley and kale salad
    Friday: birthday dinne
    Saturday: leftovers
    Sunday: vegetable fried rice


    Leftovers for lunch everyday with fresh veggies/hummus, fruit, and almonds
    Breakfast is oatmeal and fruit

    This is all dependent on my getting to the supermarket tomorrow. If not, then whatever I have that I can heat up, lol
  • Sunday: Hubby wanted Cheesy Hashbrowns with Ham in it for his birthday dinner so I made that.
    Monday: Leftovers
    Tuesday: Roasted Cauliflower and White Cheddar Soup
    Wednesday: Leftovers
    Thursday: Beef & Cheddar Casserole
    Friday: Probably Leftovers
    Saturday: I want to try Garlic Spaghetti 

    I've learned my lesson on making too much during the week and not eating leftovers so I try to plan leftovers for nights we have something going on and not a lot of time to cook anyway. Plus until last week, I wasn't able to eat leftovers without being grossed out for some reason! You girls are such an inspiration to keep me cooking! I've been so lazy and planning out meals has really helped :) So thank you!

    Tuesday- Steak with creamed spinach and roasted broccoli 
    Wednesday- I have a work event where food is provided 
    Thursday- chicken taco salads

    Sunday- chicken Tetrazzini and salad

    Monday- Yellow rice topped with Pico de Gallo, guacamole, and corn tortillas tacos (chicken and steak)
    Tuesday- Fend.
    Wednesday- Stuffed Meatloaf, and veggies, and a starch for DH & kids.
    Thursday- Pulled pork sandwiches, and fries. (Salad for me).
    Friday- Steak, Salad, and probably baked potatoes for dh and kids.
    Saturday- Fend.
    Sunday- Chicken and dumplings for kids and DH, Chicken salad for me.

    ETA: Spelling.
  • No plan this week..

    Last night we had grilled BBQ chicken, roasted corn, fruit salad, and a green salad.. Tonight? Who knows :/ I want steak
  • For the first time in over a month, I felt good enough to meal plan for a full week!

    Monday - Chicken tacos with brown spanish rice and black beans
    Tuesday - Homemade pizza with vegetables and turkey pepperoni
    Wednesday - Chicken in basil cream sauce with brown rice and asparagus
    Thursday - Slow cooker pulled pork, parmesan roasted potatoes and garlic green beans
    Friday - Pasta with spicy vodka sauce and italian sausage
    Saturday - dinner out for H's late birthday celebration
    Sunday - Oven fried buffalo chicken tenders, skinny mashed potatoes and sauteed peppers.

    February Siggy Challenge - Picture of You and DH. Us with our engagement pumpkins. DH carved each word of "Will You Marry Me" and the date 10/11/12 into five dfferent pumpkins.

  • Monday: Spaghetti (we were supposed to have meatballs but I was out of ground beef.  Sorry DH!)
    Tuesday: make your own mini pizzas :-)  It is my DS's bday today.  I need to start making the dough for crust!
    Wednesday: Pork of some kind with rice and veggies.  Options: carnitas, stir fry, or breaded.
    Thursday: Steak with french fries and veggies.  I marinated some steaks last week in balsamic and garlic and broiled them, and they were great!
    Friday: Something easy like brinner or leftovers.  

    It is good to actually think more than a day ahead!
