Pity party, table of one

My leave is officially over. Today is my first day back to work and I can't wait to get the day over with. I have been beating myself up all night thinking about how my little girl is going to feel when she doesn't see me all day. My heart is sad. I'm grateful that I was able to stay home with her this long, but I'm not ready. I hope 4:30 comes around real fast!

Thank you. I just wish I could tell her, and she could understand that I'll be back after work. I've been her constant since I had her. Boo. I know I'm making this way harder on myself.

Ugh! If you can, do a trial run. I didn't and I am kicking myself now. At least she would have been a little familiar with her new surroundings.

It's my second full week back and i still hate it! My DH stays home with her and has been doing a great job I just wish it was me!!

Thanks for the suggestion. We're doing a bit of a trial on Thursday. I'll be there with him to meet teachers etc, but I'll atleast get to see the routine he'll be following and how well he takes to the teachers.

Keep yourself as busy as possible, it's hard but if you're busy your day will go quickly and your baby will soon be back in your arms. Sending creepy internet hugs!!

Also...most of my friends are sahm's who think then leaving baby for three hours to see a movie is comparable to leaving baby when returning to work so I completely understand that words from the ladies here are comforting!!!

If it helps at all...my lo is sooooo stinking smiley when he sees me when I get home! He never seems so worried that I am gone but boy does he get happy when I get home. If that helps, try to picture that smile instead. Best of luck

(ps sorry, I know I dont post much now but im a well meaning bmb momma, promise. Lol)

Good luck today. I know it's hard. I just started my third week back and it is getting easier. DS was so cute this morning playing with his dad and I just felt lucky to be able to sit there pumping and watch them interact. It is definitely becoming much more routine.

This is helpful to see. It's my second week back and NOT getting easier so I have to believe that it will eventually.
