LO just turned 1 yesterday, and I'm hoping to continue breastfeeding at least morning and night until age 2. I had been pumping 4 times (about every 2 to 3 hours) while at work and taking domperidone (30 mg 3 x a day). This gave me about 12 to 15 ounces per day, which was just enough. When LO turned 11 months, I started tapering off the pump and the domperidone. I'm down to 1 pump a day (at lunch) and no domperidone. I get about 4 to 5 ounces at my lunch pump. I currently nurse after work, at bedtime, and throughout the night (we bedshare). LO seems to be waking up more often, and I'm worried it's because she's not getting as much when she nurses. She is also cutting 2 molars, so I know that may be it. She is slow to take to solids, so I'm still concerned with her getting enough when she nurses. My breasts never feel full anymore, so that also has me worried about my supply. My question for extended breastfeeders is how do you tell when your supply is adequate versus too low? Also, if you were taking domperidone, did you continue to take it until LO weaned? I'm thinking about restarting it but am undecided.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your responses!
