Hey Lady!  I literally just logged in (12:15 Central time) for the first time in quite a while and here you are paging me!  I started back at work last week and I am BEAT.  The kiddos are running me ragged (as you'll see in a post I am about to make asking for advice on bedtime for 2 LOs - we just can't get it together!) and let's just say my office has gotten even more intense while I was out...so all in all a little bit of a stressful time here.

How are you?  And the DDs?  Are you back at work?  Hope DD2 is taking is especially easy on you.  My DD seemed to be a mellower baby than DS...until the past few weeks.  While not as out of hand as her brother was, she is no easy baby.  Apparently we only make challenging LOs.

    ;)

ETA - I am cracking up as I have not been on the "real" TB site in a very long time, as evidenced by my hilariously old ticker.

  • Hey!

Sorry to hear that you're back at work, and a stressful one at that. I am still on leave until March thanks to the extra time the c-section bought me. Hah.

DD#2 is much more easy going than #1. Looking back at it, I'm pretty sure #1 had colic because she cried all the time and this one is fine if she is in my arms.

I am beyond exhausted. DD#2 is a nightmare from 9pm-1am. It takes 3+ hours just to get her to sleep. Feed, rock, pat, pace, and she will fall asleep for 20 minutes. Then she will be wide awake for forever, rinse and repeat for the next three hours.

She wakes every 1-2 hours at night which means 20 minutes of eating, keeping her upright for another 30 minutes, then whispering a prayer as I move inch by inch to lower her into the cosleeper. As I start to doze off, she is back up.

Please tell me that it gets better. My saving grace is that she is kinda cute and started giving me smiles, but at 3am, her super powers are no longer working on me.
