This question is really reaching- bear with me

I feel like I am really reaching for possibilities so please hang in there.

I had a cesarean with my son in February 2013. I am on my third pregnancy (my first resulted in a MMC) and I am again experiencing brown discharge with this third pregnancy that completely reminds me of my experience with my first. Part of me wonders if maybe this is old blood/ scar tissue from my cesarean. Am I reaching here? I am getting my ultrasound tomorrow. I am not expecting a puppies and rainbows answer here, just to hear if anyone with subsequent pregnancies have ever dealt with brown discharge that was summed up to the internal scarring. I am only 10 weeks and praying for different results from my first pregnancy, so thank you for reading and replying.

I wouldn't think it would have any thing to do with your cs, but brown discharge often isn't cause for concern.

  • I had a little spotting early on, but it wasn't attributed to my scar tissue.
  • Thank you for some of your answers, ladies. My ultrasound came though with a baby and a heartbeat! Which is such a relief. I just need to hear back from my doctor now to see if he has any concerns over the spotting. I know brown isn't typically a worry for most pregnancies, it's just that was the only warning I had during my first pregnancy when I had lost it. Which is why I am a bit of a nervous nelly when it comes to brown spotting. But thank you again.
