A/S at 3:45pm. I am so nervous and excited. I don't know how I am going to get through the day. Hopefully everything will go well with all of our appointments.
I have an appt. at 10am EST for follow up bloodwork for my NT scan (gosh I feel sooo at the back of the pack now seeing all these a/s's and I'm still working on NT scan stuff )
I had an apt today and everything was great. We reviewed my ultrasound report in detail and it was perfect. Heard the heartbeat and it was 148 bpm. Let's just say I am definitely gaining weight right on track Baby and I both appear to be very healthy, and I'm certainly very happy.
We have our a/s and appointment today at 1:30. I am so incredibly nervous. This is the same time last year that we learned that my daughter had a cyst on her brain. (I have posted about it before, but she ended up being completely fine after lots of weeks of extra testing and a trisomy 18 scare) I am just so nervous that we will have something else come up with this baby. Last time we were struck by it once we saw the dr since the ultrasound tech really can't say anything. I just want to hear baby is healthy and everything is as it should be! Thanks for listening to my craziness!
We had our A/S today and our very healthy, strong, wiggly baby BOY is right on track!!!! He was a total showoff and kept flexing his muscles for us...the tech was impressed. All of the vital organs and structures looked perfect, and we couldn't be more thrilled!

@MegK82 I hope this was an isolated experience and that you don't have to worry about that again! How scary.

I posted in my Friday ticker change that we had our A/S today and I was really nervous because baby has a higher chance of having certain defects (spina bifida, cleft palette).
The ultrasound tech said everything looks really good and its a BOY!
We went shopping right away to celebrate, lol. This baby is our second and last, our first was a girl and this one is a boy One of each
We're team yellow, which means nobody is going to know what it is until baby is born, so I'm really excited to announce it here!
A/S was this morning. Everything went perfect except they did not Choroid Plexus cysts In the brain. Not harmful but could be a soft marker for trisomy 18. Since my other screenings have me at the lowest possible risk for downs/trisomy (and baby looks perfect with no other makers) they aren't concerned and are not doing any more testing. Any one have this happen to them? Not sure if I should demand more testing or listen to their advice that nothing looks wrong..

Congrats! I wouldn't be able to do it! We've known the sex since the Friday after Christmas but my MIL INSISTED on having a dinner to "reveal" *rolls eyes* anyway...the dinner is this Saturday and it has been SO HARD not to slip! I keep barely catching myself!
MIL is the reason we're team yellow this time, haha. I'm not sure I'll be able to catch myself saying "him" but this is something I really want to do, especially since its our last
We just got done at the a/s. Everything looks great! His heart rate was great and everything is measuring on track. I'll be going back in 8 weeks for a growth ultrasound because I was just diagnosed with GD.
@scapuano - this happened to my neighbor. She had a follow up ultra sound 4 weeks later and the cyst was gone. She also had no other markers other than the CPC.
had my a/s this afternoon...everything looked good with u/s tech...we already knew it was a girl so that part wasn't even on my mind...heartbeat, 10 fingers, 10 toes, generally developing well were my focus.
when the dr came in she told me there was a small issue ( and I know its small as I have seen others comment) but she only has 1 artery in the umbilical cord.
so i have to go back for another u/s in 4 weeks...i am trying to avoid dr google...and stay positive, but my PGaL brain is starting to go into over drive...

I was told the same about at our scan. Apparently it's something they are seeing more and more because of better technology and if your baby has no other markers it will be fine. I searched tb and found a lot of good outcomes and I feel very confident our little girl will be ok.
Team blue here! I'm excited to have two little boys and see my son as a big brother to a little guy! He was measuring right on track and everything looked good :-). Congrats to all!

@happydance80 and @ scapuano we had the same thing today and last year with my daughter as I posted before. Se had hers when she was born and has had zero issues. My doctor is sending us for a level 2 ultrasound just to be sure and let someone else take a look and make sure that all the organs and everything else look good. This is the same thing that happened last time. I can send both of you TONS more information on PM if you are interested. Mainly if everything else looks fine there are really not any other concerns.
I am honestly still in shock, I cannot believe that this is happening to us again. I am so happy that everything else looks good, but it makes it so much harder to feel like I can fully celebrate, and I am on edge until we know more. I also can't believe we have now had it with both our pregnancies when it's like 1 in 100 chance to have it
We are having a girl! So excited! My hubby was begging for a little girl.
I have a question though... I am supposed to be 19wks 2 days but the scan came back saying that the baby is measured at 21 wks 2 days. How accurate is that? I don't wanna go on leave too early! I would rather spend more time at home after the baby is out!

Did you have an earlier dating scan? Typically those are more accurate as far as actual gestational age. Babies grow at different rates and you may just have yourself a big baby!
DD always measured a few weeks ahead. My doctor never changed my due date but he did schedule an induction 10 days prior to my due date based on her size. The induction ended up happening even earlier due to pre e. Who knows whether that is something your doctor would suggest or not.

I know what you mean about feeling unable to celebrate. At first I felt like maybe I shouldn't buy anything until after she is born to make sure she's going to use it. But... I think these cysts are becoming even more common than the 1:100 as the u/s machines become better. And even without a level 2 ultrasound they could see heart or kidney issues that were obvious. Babies with trisomy have really obvious issues. I know you've been through this but it really did help me to search the bump and see other moms talking about their experiences and NONE of them had worst case scenarios happen. Some of them even had other soft markers but all their babies were great! I'm sorry you're having to deal with this again. When is your level 2?
I'm late posting, but we found out we are having a boy yesterday. We didnt expect our doc to guve us a 3D shot, but he did My 8yr old son could not be more excited to have a brother on the way. We are due June 17. . Congrats to all the mommies out there!!!
