Are you goign out on NYE?

H seems to be a little bummed because I really don't feel like painting the town red. I suggested we have a get together at our house so that we can have a social life but i can go to bed when I want to. He still doesn't seem happy with that. I just don't want to go to a big party (especially when I will have to be the one driving home)

    We're going out to some friends' lake cabin and spending the night.  It's just going to be the six of us, and we're going to do a nice dinner party type thing then stay up to ring in the new year - it's something we've all wanted to do for years!

    I think all that I can handle is an early dinner and an early bedtime.

    I totally agree with the driving around drunk dh, it's getting tiring with all these holiday parties and I'm feeling left out of all the fun.  Long term it will be worth it but the short term stinks.

    No, but we have small children, too.  I did go out the NYE that I was pg with dd, but it was not very exciting being pg and in a bar, ugh.

    We are undecided as of yet. We usually go to a friends house because she does a party every year, but I am not into it this year. No fun to be the only sober one. Right now I am thinking we will stay at home and get some really good take out.

    We're having people over to our house. None of my friends really felt like going out (we did it about 5 years in a row and are just done).

    I got us a room at a really nice hotel about 30 min away from home.  We like to do overnight trips like this and figured that is would be harder once we have the baby...so thought that this would be nice.  We will do dinner someplace close to the hotel... I still have to figure it out.  Maybe you can do something like this?

    We're going to a friends house and spending the night.  We just haven't decided which friend.  Neither know I'm pg yet.  Big Smile

    [/    RA with Sjogren's Syndrome. Risk of heart block in newborn. Age: DH and I are both 38.
    BFP #1: 11/25/2007, EDD 7/28/2008 - Missed m/c (blighted ovum) 12/6/2007 6w3d, D&C 1/3/2008.
    BFP #2: 4/2008 - Natural m/c at 6w.
    Met with RE in 5/2008 full cycle analysis and SA normal. Not considered high risk for blood clots but prescribed 1 baby aspirin a day precautionary during TTC and Progesterone suppositories during 1st trimester of pregnancy.
    BFP #3: 10/17/2008. EDD 6/23/2009,  Third time's the charm! Healthy baby boy born 6/27/2009 via emergency c-section.
    BFP #4: 6/14/2011. Healthy baby boy born 2/16/2012 via elective c-section.
    BFP #5: 1/15/2014. EDD 9/22/2014.     2/17/14:.We have a BABY!!! Heart rate 167 and measuring on time. 3/10/14 u/s #2 baby measuring perfectly at 12 weeks at heart rate of 166. NT u/s was normal. Maternit21 blood draw on 3/5/14. Results back on 3/19 - Normal.  It's a BOY!!!  4/10/14 at 16 weeks, 3 days discovered baby's heart stopped at 15 weeks, 6 days. D&C 4/11/14.  Pathology results were all normal.  New information on 8/11/14 - blood test revealed 1/3 of babys blood was in mine caused, most likely, by a tear in the placenta from extreme coughing.  Doctor believes this to be the cause of death.  Repeat D&C and Hysteroscopy scheduled for 8/19/14.  My Chart

    I really don't think so.  DH has to work and the last thing I want to do is go out alone.  I have a friend that has to work on New Years Day at 7am so maybe we will just hang out.

    uh...no way!! We are taking at easy especially since I'll be in bed at 7 or 8. DH can forget it. haha

    My best friend (who is 20 wks. preg.) is having a NYE party for all of our friends at her house. It will be nice to see everyone without having to really go out.

    We are going out to a nice dinner (Melting Pot - Yummy) and then home to hang out. We haven't gone out to a bar on NYE in a long time, mostly just friends houses when we are back home, NYE is too crazy.

    We usually don't do much for NYE anymore. We'll cook dinner together and just hang out. DH is usually on call anyways, so we can't get too crazy in case he has to go to the hospital

    I still don't know what we're going to do.  I'm definitely not going out to any bars or anything.  We might just have friends over or something, we'll see.  Truthfully, I've never been a big fan of NYE (except that I met my DH on that night!).

    We usually have a few friends over for NYE. Appetizers, beer and my non alcohol daquiris....

    This will probably be our last year doing at our house since I am not sure if I want to do it with ds or other children in the future...
