I'm bored and its super slow here!

Baby is sleeping and I'm wired on a Starbucks late. Can't take a nap but too lazy to do any housework. Come on people, last few weeks have been super slow and me no likey.

For outside babes, what's the one item that you never thought you would use but has come in pretty handy? For me, it's the little scented trash diaper bags. They are a god sent bc I don't have room for a diaper genie.

    I am learning to love burp cloths.  DS1 and DD were not much for spitting up so our burp cloths never got much use with them; DS2, however, is making me want to spend my day in a poncho.

    I didn't have this when I brought him home but I got the RnP and I can't live without it. We had the cosleeper and it wasn't supporting Noah's head very well so some lovely bump ladies suggested the RnP and Noah sleeps like a champ in it. I think this is the millionth time I've said that about the RnP but I love it!

    White noise machine. More for me than her. I could never share a room with DS as a baby bc he was soooooo noisy! She's just as loud but the machine really covers it up and I'm much more rested. It's so much easier to have her in our room than across the house.

    I never thought I'd need the pump the 1st day home.

    Tiny mouth + big nipples = not latching well.

    At least she's interested in BFing. She just can't get it out.

    I CD my first DS, but had him in disposables for the first 3-4 weeks and always used the pocket or all-in-one styles on him. This time I decided to CD as soon as we got home from the hospital using old-school prefolds and covers. I'm shocked at how much I like them!

    I still have an inside baby and am loving seeing what you ladies like. 
    I braved the book store with a crazy 4 year old and DS since DS didn't have school today. 
    I felt bad because usually on MLK day I take DS to the museums downtown (most of them have free admission today) but there was no way I could do it this year. Between being pregnant and the 4 year old I babysit I doubt I would have survived.

    This, only I'm using mostly flats. I thought I'd like the prefolds better, but I don't. The flats are just so trim and easy!

    My LO is still in the nicu but surprisingly we use a lot of nail files. His nails grow so fast and constantly scratches himself and us. He hates nail clippers and hates when I bite his nails but he sits still to have them filed.

    I rented a symphony for the first month, keeping it another. Best decision ever. 6 hours home and I had terrible, terrible engorgement.

    I never I would use nipple cream. Prescription strength for that matter. My SIL said she never used it and I didn't think I would either. Holy moly my neumans nipple cream has been a LIFE SAVER!

    @marbee1214 those pacis are also given to babies in the NICU. Jacob is totally obsessed with his and won't give it up. All the cute pacis were a waste.

    I second the white noise machine. I bought a Dex Sound Sleeper off ebay when DS3 was born and have used it with all my babies after that. Right now I use it to help drown out DH's snoring ;)

    I thought of something else. I got 2 Aden and Anais muslin swaddlers as gifts. They are fantastic. So much easier to swaddle with!
