Seven Slings Original Sling?

Hey -
I'm due to have LO#2 later this week :-)  Has anyone here purchased an "original" sling or any sling for that matter from Seven Slings?  They look cool and I have a gift card....so very little $$ for me.  However, I don't want to purchase anything that would just be sitting around.  With LO#1, I used the Ergo to carry her whenever I needed both hands etc.  The sling looks like it would be easier to put on etc.
Thoughts??

  • I got a "free" one and DD hated it. You can google them for a free promo code. You pay the shipping, my IMO it's not even worth the $7.

  • A friend gave me hers, IMO it's impossible to use. I tried when DD was really little, and again about a month ago and completely useless both times.

  • It's just a piece of fabric sewn into a loop. It's not hard to use, you just have to get LO in a seated position. I found it easiest when LO was maybe 8-15 months.
It is nowhere near as comfortable or nice as an Ergo or any other carrier you would spend $40-100+ but the cost is nowhere near that either.

It's not that much different from a ring sling in terms of how baby sits in it, but it's not adjustable so you have to get the right size.
