    Happy (early) Birthday @JackoftheBox

We have no exciting plans. It is finals weeks for DH's classes that are only half a year so he will have a lot of tests to grade and I have so much studying to get done for an upcoming pharmacology exam (blech). I feel like our lives are super boring at the moment :P

    Thank you!

And your lives aren't boring your just focusing right now! I'm proud of you guys!!
  • Nothing exciting for me.  Just work.  A family friend's son (15 years old) will be staying with us tomorrow night and possibly Wednesday night.  LO will enjoy having him around.
  • My birthday is on Thursday!! We are going out this saturday with friends, but usually my family will go out to dinner together. So we shall see if my mom calls! Other than that? Nadda
Oh exciting! Where are you going to eat?

I have no plans, either.  I'm looking forward to school starting back up tomorrow, so I can rest while I'm sick and DD isn't here :P

Probably Lone Star. They have an awesome prawn dinner, and I love the blooming onion!
  • I'm going to a conference in Philadelphia on Thursday. Through next Tuesday. It looks like snow boots will be necessary, which will be a pain in the butt to haul around the conference center and exhibit hall all day. It's a female-dominated field and people who dress badly at these things get their photos posted to Twitter with catty remarks, so I get paranoid.

DH and LO are flying to California to visit the in-laws during the same timeframe. I am always in awe of DH's ability to haul LO and the stroller and the giant car seat and the diaper bag and his carry-on through airports. I'd have a nervous breakdown just prepping for it. There's always at least one layover.

  • Happy birthday @jackofthebox and @m&mhavemyheart!

This week is boring, except that dh started night shift Monday night. So it's normal... but different.

My SIL is supposed to come visit from Saturday til Thursday. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I mean, it will be awesome to see her and to have company since I'm not gonna be seeing DH much (like now... he's home but asleep). But that's a looooong time to have company. I'm a 4 day/3 night max kind of hostess. I need my space and alone time and that's hard to get when there's someone staying with you.

Where in CA? We fly to southern california once a year (from maryland) and make absolute sure to get a direct flight. Hell no to the layovers. Too much time is lost already traveling that distance! Plus the annoyance of it all.

  • They're flying from North Dakota. It's an 8 hour drive to find a direct flight.

    Pasadena area.
