In between sizes struggle

Anyone having problems dressing their LO?  I have a bit of a chunker and now hes gotten to the point where alot of his 12 month stuff is just getting too small, esp the pants but the 18 month size is huge on him.  I did send him in a 18th month outfit today but he was just drowning in it. LOL.  I usually dress him in carters brand stuff but I do have a few gap, cherokee, h & m things too but they all seem to be super long for 18 months.

He can just fit a 12 month onesie but a lot of the pants or zip ups are just soo tight.  I did just have him wear a 18 month pair of jeggings with a 12 month shirt yesterday and it was ok but still the pants were quite big.

Re: In between sizes struggle

  • Look for the pants with the adjustable waste if the waste is too big. I have to roll up Ts pants. But mainly because I skipped a size because he wore 9m for literally less than a week. I just went straight to 18m.

I quit doing one pieces a couple of months ago because his body is just too long.

  • I have some issues with pants, but it's because of the cloth diapers. The bulk makes it difficult. In a disposable, she fits 6 month onesies and pants just fine, but in cloth she wears 9 months. The onesies fit just a little loosely, which is fine, but the 9 month pants are still a little tight in the butt and the legs are too long.

I cant wait for spring and summer so I can put her in dresses and not worry about it.

We have this issue as well due to cloth diapers.  My mom gave DS some pants from Joe Fresh back in November in size 6-12 months and they fit perfectly still.  They even pull up over the diaper smoothly and there is no need to tug them on haha  Every other brand of pants we try seem to always be too tight.

  • We're having this issue, too. He's still primarily in 12 months, but I've noticed his footie sleepers getting short lately, as well as his onesies - we've finally reached the point where we don't need to cuff his pants... (we needed 12 mos for the waist WAY before the length, even though he's tall) but I'm pretty sure we'll be moving in 18 months soon - but I agree, they seem HUGE.

  • C is in 12 month everything. Unfortunately, some of the pants are reeeeally hard to get over his thighs. I tried 18 month pants, but didn't feel like much was gained in the waist. We will be switching to 18 month footed sleepers, though, because his toes are cramped in the 12 month size.
