  • 1. Okay. Haven't been getting many runs in (we've been pretty busy), but I am working on eating a bit better- trying to cut back on the sugar!

    2. I have one from a little over a week ago, I think. I will attach it.

    3. Run at least 3 times, and do yoga at least twice.

    I want a treadmill sooo bad. I want to go for a run, but getting all geared up, plus getting baby all ready and into the carseat, pulling the stroller out of the trunk, finding keys/phone/earbuds... it's just annoying. I'm sure I could find an awesome deal, but we don't have space. So frustrating!

  • We don't have our own treadmill. The school I work at has a few. I sneak down there when I can. Friday DH held LO and watched a bball game in the gym while I ran.

  • 0 runs done so far. I did walk around the mall this morning. I'm suppose to start running with a friend this week, but she came down with the stomach flu. I go back to work next week, so I'll have a more routine schedule. I'll try to figure out what works. If I can't get out of the house, I'm going to make it a point to get in a good workout at home via my Pinterest workouts. I ordered a medicine ball and new workout pants and I'm so excited for them to arrive so I can get started.

    I think I will sign up for a triathlon again for later this year to give myself plenty of time to figure out a training schedule.

  • It has still been a snowy mess here, so I have only ran once or twice in the last week.  I have still kept up on exercise though... I have alternated between Supreme 90, Insanity, and T25 videos.

    I did get new running shoes!  Brooks Adrenaline GTS 13 -

    They are soooo comfortable!

    My goal for the week is to get back on my training schedule as soon as the snow melts.  Until then, I plan to workout inside most days.

  • 1. I'm actually proud of how I've been doing. I'm on week 3 day 3 of c25k. I've been running 4 days a week on the treadmill at the gym. I've felt really burnt out on it already and would much rather sleep than go, but I've struggled through it haha.

    2. No picture for me.

    3. My goal is to keep going and not slack off. I may switch and run 3 days, do the elliptical the 4th.

  • Since getting our treadmill a week ago Saturday I am now on week 2 day 1 completed of my c25k but I have taken the last two days off bc my shins were killing me. Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong??? I'm on a treadmill so I don't know if that makes a difference.
  • @joi922 I would highly recommend a jogging stroller.  I can't imagine running with a regular one.  I use one similar to the one below.

  • According to my RunKeeper app, I ran a total of 5.5 miles all week. I hope I can do better this week - it's just so hard to get time away from DS.

  • @joi922: I highly recommend a jogging stroller. We have the BOB Revolution SE and with the carseat attachment, we've been using it since he was a week old. It's awesome and I'd never use anything else.

    Mmm, I got shin splints during my pregnancy, it was awful. I also had some knee issues. I ended up having to take about three weeks off from walking/running completely. I iced them and didn't have issues after my hiatus. But I unfortunately don't know what caused them. You might ask the health and fitness board, someone over there might have a better idea!

    My DH isn't a trainer, but he knows a lot about working out (ran track and xcountry in college)..... He says that shin splints are caused by the force of your foot hitting the ground too hard, or running on your toes. Try to go heel to toe, and tread lightly. He said wearing actual running shoes is a big factor as well.

    I used to get them because I have never been a runner, and had to actually think about the proper way to run, and haven't gotten them since.

    I want to get back to running, thank you for setting up this check in!
    1. It was too cold last week to walk outside so I met a friend at an indoor track in a mega church. Since I was indoors I used my wrap instead of the stroller. We didn't count laps but we did walk for about an 1:15.
    3. My goals are to keep moving at least 2-3 times a week while my son is in preschool. And I would like to sign up for another 1/2 marathon to see if I can improve of the one I did before bfp.
    This is us after struggling to get her in the wrap.

  • I have done just a few miles each week the last couple weeks, in a combination of walking/jogging. I will say that I have been failing miserably at starting c25k, but hoping to get that going soon, so I guess that's my goal. I have been mostly doing small workouts from pinterest with my walking /jogging.

    I am proud, though, that I've been much better about my eating habits the last few weeks. In the past that's always been a struggle for me.

How's it been going for the last few weeks?  I went running last Sunday!  I was glorious!  Ran 3 miles but it was so nice.  I havent ran or worked out since.  LO's sleep is getting so irratic and work is crazy busy.  2.     3. What are your goals for this week?  I am hoping once there is more daylight I will have a chance to get some weekday runs in.  Realistically I am hoping to get a run in sometime this weekend.
