Prayers please (very sad)

A friend of a friend has 2 boys and a 4 month old baby. The baby fell asleep on the parents bed and was found 20 minutes later not breathing. I am not sure exactly why she wasnt breathing. She might have rolled over or something but i dont know. also, when the EMT was taking her out, he fell which may or may not have contributed to some more injuries.

As if that wasnt awful enough, the parents are not allowed ANY contact at all with any of the children because some dr put on her case that the injury was similar to shaken baby. CPS got involved and a judge is denying visitation. So the parents haven't seen the baby or their boys and cant talk to them either. The baby will most likely be declared brain dead. This has been going on for 2.5 weeks. The family are good people and they are all just going through way too much for a heart to bear. Wow, that is a very sad story. Humans can survive a lot of things. My distant cousin who is 15 was declared brain dead and the doctors were talking about pulling her off life support, all this because of an infection and left her in a coma.. she woke up a week later with slight memory loss a few days before she fell into the coma, but that was it.. she was perfect after a few more months in the hospital.

I will send positive thoughts to that family and I do hope the baby pulls through.

Thanks everyone. I feel so so bad for my friend who is allowed to visit the baby even when the baby's parents are not. It's just so awful that a judge who doesn't even know them can keep them from the baby's bedside and from comforting their other children. The legal system is insane. I would be a raging lunatic if it were me. And I know there are some f-Ed up people in this world who would hurt their kids, but these are not those people.
