I finally have time to announce our little buddle of joy Declan Paul. I was 1 week over due and was scheduled for induction on 1/14, but this guy thankfully came before I had to be induced. He was born on 1/12/14 at 440am. He weighed 8lbs 4oz. 21.5 inches. I had a rough 24 hours of labor which thankfully I was able to spend the first 12 at home. I labored at home from when my contractions started at 4am on 1/11 and were about 9-11 min apart. Throughout the day I tried keeping myself busy and later that afternoon the contractions were getting closer together, 5-6 min apart. When 6 pm rolled around I was then contracting 4-5 min apart and in lots of pain so DH and I headed in to L&D. They checked me when I got there and was at 5cm and my OB then decided to break my water at about 8pm. I ended up walking the halls for a bit as contractions got stronger and more closer together. I was starting to get really nauseous and had the shakes really bad. I then decided it was time for that epidural and that was around midnight. As I started pushing around 300am my OB noticed as I was pushing babies O2 and heart rate dropped but would slowly come back after each push. This was because of me being late and the placenta wasn't 100 percent working. After about 45 min she decided to do a episiotomy and about a 3 degree tear. Ouch!! 2 more pushes at 440am this little miracle arrived.
I hope all of u are doing well, I'm still recovering of course. Good luck to all the haven't delivered yet and for those of u that have, hope your enjoying all the snuggles cause they grow so fast, I know that I am.
