Has anyone tried dying baby clothes? After going through DD's old clothes I have saved, I have almost nothing that is reusable for DS. Just white onesies. If anyone has tried dying clothes, let me know if you have any tips or tricks??!! Thanks!!
I have only tie dyed onesies. And if you're talking about re-dyeing professional dyed clothes, it might be worth it to trade some in like PP said or get a few outfits from Wally World bc that sounds like a lot of trouble.
I've used rit dye to dye stuff before and it works great. I'm sure it would work fine on white onesies. Just read the instructions and you're good to go!
I would recommend using a higher quality dye than Rit. Dylon is decent brand that you can find at Joannes. It bleeds significantly less than Rit and is more true to the color.
I have only done tye-dying with onsie's, but this post is good to know, I still have to go through all of DS's clothes to see what I can use, and I never knew you could dye them to bring the restore the color.
Might want to use a different dye though, but thought these were super cute.
I did a lot of iron on stuff with my dd's onesies. Joanne's sold this iron on paper stuff that you could use to iron on any material. So I would find cute fabric with pictures on them, cut out the pics, and iron them onto the onesies. I think it would be cute to do both the dye and iron ons.
As long as they are cotton you should have no problem.
I dont see a problem with girls wearing blue/purple or other "boy" colors and vice versa. Its a baby and that crap is expensive LOL. Coming from a big family where we wore a lot of hand me downs it was no big deal to me.
Re: Dying baby clothes?
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
