Hi, ladies. I'm from the A14 board and have a quick question about this pump. I got two responses on my board that said its pretty average so I came over here to check. The last post I could find was 2010. Thanks for any input you have!!

Anyone have or use one? My MIL came back with one for me today. There are some good reviews on amazon although many say the suction isn't as strong as strong as others. Thank you!!

I have it! It was the one offered by my insurance. DS is 6 months old and I have not had any issues with it and have not had any suction problems. I had to order the larger flanges for it, and once I did that it was much better.

I will say that I have no other pumps to compare it to, and I mostly sah, so I do not use it everyday.

I like that it is a closed system, and it can also run off battery if you need it to. While on battery, the suction is a little less than it is when plugged in, but it still worked fine.

  • I have had it with 2 babies now and love it. Suction was great. I always seemed to get a good amount of milk. Not to mention the price is great!

  • What will you be using it for? Frequent pumps (like at work), or just occasional? If you're going to use it frequently , I'd invest in something better, like a Medela. If just occasional, then I'm sure it's fine.

It's a little weird that your MIL randomly showed up with a breast pump, no? That just seems like such an odd thing to buy for someone when you have t even talked to them about what they want.

  • Very weird!! My FIL is retired military and they were on base and decided to do some shopping. There were three to choose from and she went middle of the road. She bought me a few other things too that I didn't mention wanting, like a rock and play and a bunch of disposable diapers (we are cloth diapering). It will be good to have some on hand but not 8 packs I have no where to put. I guess she just wants to be involved. I'm realizing a need for boundaries though!! Ha!

I will be going back to work. I just remembered that my insurance covers one but I haven't looked into which one. Maybe, if that one is better, I can keep it at work and this at home. I guess two isn't a bad thing.

    Thanks so much!

  • I have that one because that's the one my insurance covered and it works great! I've never used a different pump though, so I have nothing to compare it to, but DD is 4 months old and I'm back to work, so I use it 3 times a day with no issues.
