Hello, I am 17 weeks as of yesterday and and not feeling movement yet. However when I lay down flat a hard bulg appears in the lower half of my stomach I can reach down and actually feel the baby is there. Sometimes if I push it moved away and other times it just stays in that spot. I don't feel movement inside or outside obviously but I can feel it there by touch. I don't recall experiencing this is my last pregnancy. So my question is has anyone else experienced this?
Re: strange question?
1. It's perfectly normal to not feel movement at 17 weeks...even if it's not your first pregnancy.
2. It's perfectly normal to have that hard bulge below your belly button because that's where the baby lives and it needs it's space yo!
3. If you push it around, it would make sense that it would move since it's not a tumor or anything.
So yeah, I don't think you need to worry.
Also I definitely have the bump you're referring to. I don't have a lot of extra padding, so it was a very strange feeling to lay on my back, look down toward my feet and see my stomach bulging out! It still kind of catches me by surprise sometimes. :-)

I can tell when my twins are moving only because it is already extremely uncomfortable lol
on U/S baby A is always the one moving and baby B is relatively calm cool and collective
But when the "discomfort" starts I always feel it on Baby B's side.
I am 17 weeks 1 days.... I figure in the matter of 2 more ... that is when I will feel the real movin-n-a-groovin
19 weeks today and have felt very little movement, but I definately have the hard bulge when I lay flat. So hang in there and the kicks will come.
