Washing car seat fabric?

If anyone has read my previous posts about my oh so lovely cats, well today I had a nice surprise when I went to put LO in her car seat! One of them peed all over it and all over the bunting bag.

I can't find any washing instructions anywhere on the car seat fabric, there seems to be a foam type of material and I have no idea what to do with this.

Would you throw that into the machine? What about dryer?

    I would call the manufacture for directions. You can find our how to clean the seat and straps without compromising the safety if the seat.

    This. Or you should still have your manual, which will likely have washing instructions. The straps are spot clean only, I believe. Good luck getting it out. You might be in the market for a new carseat :-S

    I have washed DS car seat fabric in the washing machine and dried it in the dryer. You can't wash the straps though, they can't be submerged in water, you have to spot clean those. Not sure about an extra foam piece...if you have the manual instructions should be in there.

    If it is Britax I know they will send you new foam for free if you contact them. I have a friend who's LO vomited all over his and that is what she had to do. If it isn't Britax it is worth a call to see if they will do the same.

    Call the manufacturer about the foam but I've cleaned the fabric on the washer. I didn't use the dryer and only hung it to dry, I believe that's what it said on the instructions. Plus I didn't want to risk it shrinking or losing shape.
