Clothing LO has outgrown

What are you doing with the clothing LO has outgrown?

So far I am saving a few items such as her going home outfit, Halloween outfit, and Christmas dress. I have everything she has outgrown so far packed in boxes but now that we aren't ttc for a few years I don't know if hanging on to these items would be worth the trouble. Especially if our next LO is a boy.

I'm setting aside a few of my favorites to make a quilt. Others I am packing up. I figure if next LO is another DD, we will use them, if not I'm sure someone will want them. It's not like baby clothes go out of style.

ETA: We have a lot of gender neutral items.

I'm packing everything away in case we have another boy in a few years. If we end up with a girl, I'll donate the clothes.

The majority I'm going to put in a tote to save but I'm also giving some away to a few of DH's coworkers that are due soon. DH thinks we should give them all away and buy new if we have another. I think he is nuts.

I saved all of DD's clothes but now I need to go through and get them ready for a mom 2 mom sale. All of DS's stuff that he's outgrown so far will go too. We don't plan to have any more kids so there is no point to keep any of it. I'm not very sentimental so I doubt I'll save anything.

I fill under the bed Tupperwares as LOs outgrow clothes, then I stack them in the attic once they are full. DD is on her 5th box at 3yo and DS is close to filling his 1st box. I just can't part with them yet. When I know I'm done having babies I'll sort through and just keep the special ones that DD might want to give to her children.

I'm saving most of mine in storage bins. Things that are already pretty worn out or that I didn't like that much will get donated, consigned, or put in a garage sale.

We were team green, so just about all of our newborn, 0-3, and 3m clothes are gender neutral.

I have been washing and then storing the clothes according to size in those plastic bags that sheets come in (I save all sorts of random things, so i had these on hand) and am keeping them in the same larger plastic storage bin that my maternity clothes, leftover homebirth supplies, and leftover post-partum supplies went into.

We're NTNP right now, but I am hoping that we'll need all that gear again sooner rather than later.

Storing away in case we have a 3rd. If it's a girl then obviously her wardrobe will be set. If not then I'll pick through and keep the gender neutral stuff and give the rest away.

I have been putting DS clothes in big storage bins as he out grows them. We are hoping to have one or two more, after that I plan on selling them at a consignment charity event held twice a year in my area.

We save them and pass them around our family/friends. DD is wearing hand-me-downs from DS and my nephews (though everyone's bought her a ton of clothes, too). I store everything in totes by size.

I'm setting everything aside. At the moment they're just in a big plastic bag in her closet, but at some point I'm sure I'll sort them out and then maybe get some of those space bag thingies. We plan to have at least one more, and even if we don't end up having another girl, she does have some gender neutral stuff that we could use again. After I close the baby factory we'll probably donate everything.

I'm keeping a small box of favorites, and getting rid of all the others. I don't have much space so I figure storing it would be more difficult than getting new clothes if we ever decide we want another baby. We bought the majority of the clothes we have used anyways so to me it's not a bit deal to donate them.

I do really like the idea of making a quilt with favorites though!

I pack them all away in Rubbermaid containers as the boys outgrow their clothes. We are probably going to try for a third so we'll keep it all until then. We've saved a ton of money not having to buy all new clothes this time and we have the storage space so we might as well keep it for now.

I'm keeping all his clothes for the next baby. I figure if the next is another boy then we will be set. If the next is a girl then I'll donate to someone who has a boy. If not that then there is a store here that buys baby clothes and gives you store credit. That way I can buy girl clothes.

Most of her clothes came from SIL. As she outgrows them, I'm putting them in a box to give back to SIL when she has her baby (3 mos along now). I've kept a couple of favorites which were not hand me downs and I'll store them somewhere.

My mom gave me some of my baby clothes that she saved. I'm going to make a shadow box type thing with a couple pieces to hang up in DD's room when I get around to it.

I'm glad she saved some because there's a dress she saved that was my favorite dress when I was around four years old. I remember picking it out at the store and I called it my Winnie the Pooh dress because that's what's on the label. DD can wear it when she's older. It's a red gingham dress with a white eyelet bodice. You wouldn't know it's over 30 years old.

I have a few special outfits I am keeping for their memory boxes. Mostly I donate the clothes, we have hardly any storage space so keeping boxes of baby clothes is difficult. Also I did keep some gender neutral stuff from DS and she still received so many clothes as gifts she never ended up wearing the older stuff.

We have everything in bins. It was nice that we kept a lot from DD1 because we ended up having another girl and I didn't need to buy anything. The seasons also match up pretty closely so that's awesome! We're not planning on any more at this point, but I still packed up the clothes she's already outgrown and will keep them for a while before donating. I'm just not 100% ready to say I'm done yet.
