Bumbleride Indie Stroller - Reviews?

Anyone have the Bumbleride Indie stroller and could give me reviews on it?   Specifically for infants since I'd like to bypass getting an infant car seat (yes I've researched the fact that the hospital requires a car seat, but they don't specific an infant carrier car seat, and yes I realize that it might be more difficult but that's a choice me and the hubby are making for more bonding with the baby by having carriers).  Any info or reviews on it would be greatly welcome!! Thanks ladies!

  • I have one and they're definitely not for infants. I thought it was so inconvenient that I'm actually getting rid of it.

  • You might want to look at the Valco strollers. They are newborn rated. We used ours on walks with a 3 week old with a Snuzzler.

  • I had the Indie Twin and it was absolutely newborn appropriate.  It has one the flattest seats on the market.  You could also get the bassinet if you wanted to also.  I think the Indie is a great stroller if you do some terrain but still want something that isn't as big as a BOB.  It's pretty big though so do know that going in.   If you don't need it for rough terrain then I would consider something else but it's a pretty great all around stroller.  You will probably want an umbrella stroller eventually to go along with it so you have something small and easy if you don't want to bring your Indie everywhere.

  • Thank you so much ladies for the input!!  I really appreciate it all!
  • I have the Indie Twin, but agree that it is perfectly fine for newborns. We bought it when DS was born and it was fine. The seat lays out almost perfectly flat. We never had any issues. It's a great stroller. We love it!
  • I adore this stroller, and agree it is absolutely appropriate for newborns.  Not only does it lay flat but the footrest snaps up too to create a little coccoon.  There is also a bassinet attachement if you want to use it.  It's our only stroller and I love it.

  • I have the Indie twin (I have a toddler and a newborn) and I LOVE this stroller. I use it with and without his car seat..It works very well using without the car seat, I have no complaints. The seat fully reclines and you simply strap the baby in (I put my infant's neck support from my car seat into the stroller) and this works fine. It is 100% compatible with a newborn; that is why they made the seats able to fully recline! The sun canopy on this stroller is AMAZING btw!

  • Thanks ladies!! This has solidified my decision to go with this stroller!!  I'm so happy to hear these reviews from you all.  I really wanted to go the non infant car seat route and this makes it definite!
