Anyone allowed to work out all through pregnancy?

I'm still swimming, doing some yoga, and some prenatal exercise DVD's (24 wks 3 days) and it makes me feel so much better.  I do triathlons (when I'm not pregnant!) but had to cut out high impact stuff so am desperately holding onto some exercise.  I'm nervous it won't be for much longer but I'm hoping to at least hold onto swimming, it's the only time I don't feel enormous!  Just curious what others are still doing or were doing as they moved into the 3rd trimester.

  • I was allowed to keep swimming (though by that point it was more floating and pushing myself around) until I went into early labor at 35 wks 5 days.  At that point I went on bed rest but considering my c-section was done at 37 weeks it wasn't too bad really.

  • I ran until 28 weeks. Taught and took spinning, did elliptical, and swam until the end. Delivered at 35 and 2. Both boys healthy and went home with me the next day.
  • My doctor never told me to stop exercising, even though I gradually did after 30 weeks because I felt fat and miserable :) But she told me as long as it was comfortable, I could continue. I was lucky to have a complication-free pregnancy, so a lot depends on that.

  • I am HR for multiple reasons. I worked out 6x/wk prepreg doing p90x, combat, etc. Had to stop immediately. I miss it.
