High-Risk Pregnancy

High risk pregnancy related to obesity

Hi all- This is my first post. I am due in August and considered HR because of my weight. Just wondering if anyone else was out there in the same boat.

  • I am obese this is my second pregnancy my first I had GD and was high risk but never needed insulin and was able to deliver naturaly at 39 weeks 3 days. This time I am high risk due to developing high blood pressure in my first trimester 18 weeks so far.

  • Hi, obese and pregnant with baby #2, also due in August!  I went with a high risk doctor and would recomend it with being obese.  My worst fear is that I will leave my children and husband before my time and everything you read online says obese women have many more complications.  I do very well with surgery and heal awesomely but I feel safest going high risk doc.  Baby #1 was a nightmare at delivery, I will spare you the details, but baby2 will hopefully go better because I am prepared.  Good luck!
  • Howdy, am also HR because of weight, due in early May. Also HR because of BP which we're working on controlling at the moment with meds.

Good luck to ya'll as well :)
