Valentine's Day

Kinda early, but when I went shopping yesterday I saw all the stuff out.. (btw, the cadbury eggs and some Easter stuff was out and near the Valentine's Day stuff... say what?)

Do you do anything special for V-day? Or do you not celebrate?
Do you get anything for your kiddo for the day? Make anything special?

I know, right?
I found it strange that the Easter stuff was with it. But it was limited stuff, not everything. Some peeps and cadbury eggs. This was at our local grocery store. I admit I bought 2 eggs.

And we do the same as you. DH and I don't really do anything for each other, and we stay in. I might make our favorite meal, and a dessert or something. But that's all for us.
I also buy DD an outfit, something with hearts. And we do a little goody bag for her with some sweets.

My birthday is 4 days after VDay. So I don't really care. This year DH is put of town on VDay. But got his schedule switch so he will be here for my bday. And I got Nancy a v-day onsie for the day.

We don't really do anything for V day, never really have. Some years we've cooked a special supper or something, but that's it. I'll probably by H a card since I'm into giving cards but I won't expect one back. I might buy LO a Vday themed t-shirt but nothing else. I'm sure my MIL will give him a bunch of crap anyway especially since she watches him on Fridays.

We've never done much for Valentine's day as our anniversery is a few weeks later and we do something nice for that. I did buy H a cute onsie on Zulily this week and picked one up for St. Patty's too. $10.

I used to take advantage of some of the fancy V Day dinner menus even when single, but it's not worth it to us to try to find a babysitter. DH does send flowers to my office but we don't do anything else. We don't do anything for DS.

Dh and I used to do Valentine's day. Dress up fancy, go to a nice restaurant, I'd usually get flowers. Since ds was born, were lucky to just remember the day! Sometimes we exchange cards or I might still get flowers. I've haven't done holiday crafts with ds yet, maybe I will this year.

Honestly, I'm more excited that season 2 of House of Cards is coming out on the 14 than I am about Valentine's day! Can't wait :-D

Dh and I had a tradition of trying to do the cheesiest things possible on VD. We've gone to Chinese buffet, Denny's, or made breakfast for dinner at home. One year, I had the mascot to our local AAA baseball team go to dh's work to deliver roses and game tickets. Last year, ds made valentines to send to people. It went over well so I will do it again.

My birthday is the 12th, so we usually end up going out to dinner on "Valentine's weekend," which is always a sh!tshlw. Sometimes I buy candy on the 15th so it's half price. That's about as far as I go.

I usually make a special dinner at home. Other than that i will get DS a vday shirt to wear to daycare.

My mom will bring him stuff. Usually a treat and a plush animal.

We always order in pizza, drink wine and watch a movie. DS gets sparking juice at dinner and we do some little treats for him. We have been doing this since our first Valentine's together and always look forward to it!

This year we're going to Sesame Street Live. It's going to be very romantic.
