Christmas Still

... I still have my tree up.  Yep.  I'm probably alone, right?
This is the longest I've ever had it up.  I was going to take it down this weekend and then DD got sick, and she's not sleeping great so I'm exhausted. And just lazy today.

I will take it down next weekend... really.

    I had everything taken down on the 26th. The only reason I put anything up at all was for ds. To much clutter, to much crap everywhere when I already have a hard time keeping things straight! But then, I'm pretty much a bah humbug about xmas in general.

    Took the tree down last weekend. The tree that we only bothered to decorate with a string of lights. Nice, right? The stockings are still hanging over the fireplace because, well, I'd have to go downstairs to put them away. Maybe next weekend..

    Ours went down on New Years. DH insisted on a real tree, I needed the needles out of my living room.

    Our garbage pickup was Friday and if the number of trees at the curb were any indication, a big part of my neighborhood just took theirs down, too! Mine's a prelit artificial tree and literally took me 10 minutes to get all the ornaments off and take apart. If it weren't so easy, I'd be in the not taking it down club, too.

    Mine came down on the 5th which is super early for me.  BUT with all of LO's stuff plus his new stuff, I just needed that space back to get things organized.

    It's tradition in my family to take the tree down on New Year's Day. Our outside lights are still up because the ladder broke and we haven't bought a new one.

    It's tradition for us to take everything down on NYDay. Everything came down in the morning on the 1st.

    Yeah so I'm the only one, haha!  That's ok. It's staying up until next week, too.  Because now I have a crappy cold, and I have no desire to stand there and take off 50+ ornaments and lights. No thanks.

    Oooooh I like the idea of NY Day decorations come down as a "tradition." I am a total Scrooge and hate the clutter/needles everywhere/toddler trying to touch ornaments/dog drinking the water.
