DH and I are big outdoorsy people. And its now ice fishing season. I dont want to be one of those that gives up everything while pregnant, but I am very hesitant with this. I have clamps that go one my boots so I dont slip (i think im fine as im only 6w4d, baby is tucked safely in still). the thing Im questioning whether its safe or not is being so cold, I pile on 8 layers of clothing and still freeze. We have a shanty with a propane heater (propane in small enclosure, also makes me worry) and at night trying to sleep, Im still freezing, and never get much sleep. so I was curious if anyone has and thoughts or advice. Im sure its a shot in the dark but figured I'd ask anyways...
@Bpaws any advice?!
please and thank you ladies!!

Re: question for any ''outdoorsy'' ladies
(Coming out of lurking to post this. I mean, uh... I just found this board. Yup.)
I hate ice fishing with DH even when I'm not pregnant, but I think you're fine. When I lived in Wyoming, we did fieldwork most of the winter and my pregnant boss was always fine. I'm stuck doing outside fieldwork in Wisconsin now for the next 6 weeks or so with no shelter, and I'm planning to make no changes...in fact, I'm kind of excited to hide first tri bloat behind Carhartt coveralls instead of office clothes
Not sure about the propane...that makes me nervous regardless. I don't think it'd hurt to try it once and see how you weather it? Good luck!
