My bottle hater is so-so with the Nuby cup. She chews on it mostly, but if we tip it up for her, she will drink a liiiiiittle bit. It doesn't have the stupid no-spill valve, so it doesn't require much sucking. I just bought a Munchkin straw cup with a weighted straw. I'll let you know how it goes. I have high hopes for it because she has (accidentally) sucked water from my straw before.
DS drinks water with meals from a straw playtex cup. This week I have been giving him pumped BM in the nuk trainer cup. Both cups have handles which he really likes.
Edit: I don't like putting BM in the straw cup because he can't get the last 0.5-1oz out and I hate to waste BM.

We do this exactly! Plus he got how to use the straw cup in a day and he still has no idea how to tip the sippy one to get any so we end up just holding it for him. We started with the sippy cups about two months ago
DD does the playtex straw cups with no issues. She loves it!! Sucking came so naturally. It did tAke about a month before she started actually drinking from it versus chewing on it.
Re: Best sippy cup for bottle haters.
