Team Greenies: How do you refer to baby? He/She, They (for 1), whatever you're feelin' that day? I recently used "they" with a singular antecedent in a fb post and the grammar police came patrolling. I find saying he/she annoying. What do you do? Are you a grammar policewoman

EDIT: to add I don't really like using "it" (just sounds like some weird alien or a clown in there) and when I say "he" or "she" people assume we know the sex...

I usually say baby.
"Baby measured great at the ultrasound!" or "It's baby's fault I ate that ice cream."
Sometimes I say Ninja Baby.
"Ninja Baby likes to stay perfectly still then spring out and kick without warning."
