Nesting has begun!!!!

Not sure that 36 weeks was the best time to start nesting, but between me and the other half everything in my house has been dusted, wiped down, hoovered and bleached.....including the fireplace lol

Maybe should've started earlier in the pregnancy?

Me too. It just kicked in a few days ago. It's amazing how my body can be super achey and tired and yet my mind can overrule it and I HAVE to clean.

I'm waiting on mine to start! I'm still working full time, so when I get home I look at my house and get depressed that I just don't have the energy to do much beyond the basics. H isn't much help, he works nights. Who am I kidding?! Even when he's not on nights he isn't much help. If he would even unload or load the dishes, my head might combust.

That's awesome! Wish my H would start nesting...instead of sitting on his butt playing video games. I'm grumpy today. Can you tell?

I'm only nesting in the sense that I have lists of things I'd like to get done. No energy to actually DO them, but I have lists! DH helps out somewhat, but mostly just with things that also bother him/he thinks needs done. My tub hasn't been truly scrubbed in over a month just because I can't bend over to do it. He is never in there, so he won't clean it.

Cleaned out the pantry today and scrubbed the heck out of it. Twice. Here is the before picture after I took everything out. My kitchen was spotless before so that ALL came out of the cabinet. Yikes!

Oh, and I waxed the appliances. You know how important that is to a baby!

My DH is nesting too...but he is an organization freak so this is not too surprising. Cute, but not surprising. My nesting comes in spurts. I will have tons of energy and nest like crazy for a few days, grow exhausted and then lose motivation for a few more days. This cycle keeps repeating itself

By 5:30 this morning I have my 3rd load of laundry in the washer, hospital bag unpacked and repacked, diaper bag repacked, list of other items to grab when the time comes, coffee made, and dishwasher unloaded.... can't wait to nap with my son today!

Yesterday I had a little nesting 'tickle' (which happens every once in a while over the last few weeks).

So, as of last night, all 3 mth laundry is done.

My Snuggabunny bouncer is build:

Dishes and laundry are done.

Cat has been combed to death.

Living room has been vacuumed, and floor is washed.

Swept the rest of the house, but will probably vaccum and wash today or tomorrow.

My bathroom sink has been treated for the clog that's starting to form.

Grocery list (for today's trip) has been made and coupons and price-matching prepared.

Then my mind started running through all the things that I still want to clean - couldn't fall asleep until 1:30am.. I-)

I am loving the nesting mode, I wish I had this all the time. My sweet sweet husband tried to help out by painting the closet in the nursery (since we opted to take off the closet doors) and also decided to patch up some areas around the room. Unfortunately, he pulled the wrong paint can and the color he used was about 2 shades darker than the room. So we spent yesterday fixing it all up.

Tomorrow we go to IKEA for some last minute storage and shelving and we should be set!

I better start nesting today! I'll be 37 weeks on Wednesday and then given the official ok to have a home birth. But not if the house is in this state!

I am 35 weeks and started nesting cleaned out and organized the garage. Washed all of baby clothes, set up the crib we are soo ready for her to arrive.
