Please don't go. Unless you must. I'm glad that you feel so comfortable with your doctor-that's immeasurable. I will be thinking about you and Carleigh and the rest of your family that she is able to stay in your tummy safely for as long as possible. Be strong momma. You can do this.
This. I sincerely hope you stick around especially because you said the people you consider your real life support don't really get it. I can honestly say that this group of ladies will be there to help support you through it if you need them. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I'll be thinking about you and your little one.
I'm another won't-be-May mom. Here's some thoughts/perspective though.
Even if our babies come early for the first two years their adjusted age will be based off their due date. And adjusted age for preemies is when you'll be looking to hit milestones- just like all the other May mamas. Our little ones may do awesome and get ahead of the pack- but we will most likely still be facing similar issues with our littles once June hits and we all have outside babies.
So as far as I'm concerned, my Elisabeth will stay a May baby, even if she decides to hit the escape hatch in March or April. Chances are if she comes that early she will stay in the NICU for a long stay while the other May mamas finish cooking their littles on the inside. And NICU babies just don't follow the same curve as full term babies born at the same time- so I'll still be looking forward to my May buddies posting

I have my hubby and my mom who get the severity of it. I think my hubby is trying to shield my in-laws from how bad it is bc they would literally suffocate me. However, when I hear friends say "It's just a surgery. She'll be fine afterward" Yes, it's a surgery. It's a 4-6 hour surgery depending on how much vascularity the teratoma has (as of right now, not sure that it has a whole lot. It's mainly just fluid filled tissue which is good) and how many nerves are involved. My husband hasn't figured out how I'm able to keep from blowing up at these people, but I finally had a heart to heart with my pastor when he inadvertently left Carleigh off the prayer request email. I felt bad lashing out at him, because I hate confrontation, but my pastor was actually very understanding and apologetic.

I agree with these posters! So sorry you and your little one are going through this! Praying for the best possible outcome for her. Like PP have mentioned, please don't feel you have to leave unless it is for your own comfort. We are more than happy to have you stay!
Definitely stay. Once the babies are born, we'll all still be hitting the same milestones together. I'm wishing you all of the best as you go through this.
Thoughts, prayers and hugs to you! So glad this wasn't a loss post! And please stay! I'm due may 28 and I'm hoping baby holds off Til June (I like the birth stone better.... ) but I'm not hopping off to the June board any time soon! Hope your LO remains safe and healthy<3
Sorry you're dealing with all that added stress. I hope everything goes well with the surgery & she heals up perfectly. Lots of us may deliver early (or late), but you're welcome to stay.
I'm so relieved this wasn't a loss post. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, but sending lots of positive vibes your way. Please feel free to stick around!
