Infertility Financing help

I'm new here ::waves hello:: and have some questions re: fertility financing. Although I've been a lurker, this is my first post.

We are coming up on year 2 of infertility and are looking at IVF after several failed IUIs and a recent miscarriage. My insurance covers no part of infertility treatments so we've pretty much wiped out most of the savings we had on what we've done to date.

I have been researching options for financing our next set of treatments but have found little to nothing. Can anyone recommended any fertility financing or lending programs (even grants or discount programs to help with costs)? I don't want our road to a family to stop here.

Thanks in advance for any help or pointing me in the right direction. Thanks for your posts as well, it's been tremendously helpful to know I'm not alone in this journey and you all have been such a great source of information.

My clinic recommended Springstone for loans. The interest rates weren't terrible and we used them for our last IVF cycle. Good luck!

Definitely check with your clinic. Ours does an interest free 1 year payment plan through them. We had to pay 50% up front and then the rest over the year.

Any of the companies that are out there must be affiliated with your clinic to give you a loan, so you really need to check with your clinic first. No point in researching a bunch of companies if they're only accepting 1 or 2. With that said, we are 100% OOP and we financed through ARC Fertility and will be paying for these procedures for the next 5 years. With that said, the interest rate isn't bad and there's no penalty for early payment. They have a bunch of options as well (refund vs no refund, 1 - 3 cycles, a FET included with each fresh). However, that plan doesn't include meds.

Speak with your clinic about meds. My clinic has an agreement with prosperity pharmacy and they were, literally, 50% cheaper than anywhere else I looked.

Paying for this SUCKS. There is nothing that makes me more upset then writing my loan payment check each month, knowing that the rest of the world gets to have kids for free. but it is what it is.

Yes, I find it so frustrating that the cost might be a barrier for us having a family while others have the ability to have children without going through this...I've tried to make peace with that reality many times over with little luck.

Thank you for the tips. Our clinic doesn't have any financing options available (either directly or via partnered financing companies) so our financing solution has to be independent. I will look into ARC. Thank you again for the info!
