Recommendations for Natural Twin Birth at Beaumont

Hi Everyone,

I'm pregnant with twins and I really want to experience as natural of a birth as possible. I understand there can be some complications with twins, but I'd like to find a local doctor who is supportive of my wishes to have minimal drugs. I am considering delivering at Beaumont in Royal Oak or Troy, and I'm leaning toward Troy becuase they seem to be more accepting of birth as a natural process. Anyone have experience with a natural twin birth at either Beaumont location? Can you recommend a good OB who will support a natural twin birth? Thank you!

    Although I cannot speak specifically for twin birth, my practice totally supported both of my completely natural births at Royal Oak Beaumont. I shared my birth plan with my doctor at Generations OB/GYN in Birmingham, and he said that he would try his best to honor my wishes, while also caring for my safety. I brought the plan to the hospital & it followed me from triage through the birth and beyond. I didn't even have to have an IV, just a port (in case). No drugs whatsoever! The second birth was the same. Just be firm in your plan, but be flexible to recognize that you may have to make some minor adjustments for your safety & the safety if those precious babes!
