Contact allergies

Does anyone's LO have a contact allergy? DS has one to dairy. We found that out when we gave him yogurt melts. He just gets red splotches on his face and sometimes a runny nose. Our ped said he should out grow it. Just wondering if anyone was having this issue. Now I don't know how to frost his smash cake lol

    No help on the contact allergy, but you could do powdered sugar and water for cake icing!

    If will eats straight eggs he will get a rash on his tummy and back. Although he can have eggs in things. He also gets the same rash with certain laundry soaps and if I don't wash a new outfit before he wears it for the first time.

    Connor gets contact rashes when he touches things that have been washed with soap other than clear and free. He also gets rashes from touching my husband's work clothes even if they are washed.

    Good to know we aren't the only ones. It's only dairy so far, I tried to give him scrambled eggs but the texture got him. Try, try, try again right! As for milk I guess I'll keep waiting until his birthday and maybe do a test cupcake and let him have a tiny bit of frosting. I'm sure I'll figure out something!

    My nephew has a dairy allergy and we make him cakes all the time! And not from scratch. If you read ingredient labels at the store some cakes mixes have milk and some don't. Same for frosting! Just in case you don't want to experiment on his birthday :)

    Noah gets horrible contact rashes from anything dairy too. I know he's not allergic because he digests it fine but his face gets so red and blotchy especially when we give him yogurt.
