April 2013 Moms

Favorite Book?

We did this awhile back, but I think most of our babies were mainly just eating books at that point. (Not that Rhys doesn't still try. He does.)

What is your baby's favorite book?

Rhys loves I Love You Through and Through. He laughs out loud when I read it. He also loves Barnyard Beat - we bounce him in our laps when we read it to him.

Re: Favorite Book?

  • Brayden used to love "Mr.Brown Can Moo, Can you" by Dr.Seuss but now he loves "Knuffle Bunny" by Mo Willams.  I screams every single time he even sees the book.

  • Leif loves reading! I was going to ask this question soon so I'm glad you did, Pinot!

His favorite is Llama llama hoppity hop. We kind of act it out as we read. He has two little books with real babies' faces in them and he loves those too. One is called Smile and the other is Eat.

  • Actually he used to love storytime so much that he would scream and wave his arms each time I turn a page and now he is indifferent. He will slap it shut or out of my hands then go find something to climb or get into. I think his favorites are still Brown Bear and Baby Colors.

  • Dr Seuss usually keeps him still, I think because when I read the rhymes it sounds more like a song.  Also Goodnight Moon.

If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.-Douglas Adams
  • I'm bumping this up so people add any more ideas... Going to look for some of these at the library later! We have a ton of books but I could use some variety. :)

cute! I love the where's spot book. I have a 15 month old little girl at work who will lift up the flaps and say, "noooooo." It's her favorite book.

  • DD likes Baby Bird Count -- it has pictures of babies dressed up like different birds and each page counts the number of colored eggs. It's cute and it's one that she'll actually stop and listen too. We also read I Love You As Much at bedtime -- it's about all the animals going to sleep and how much their parents love them.
