  Menopur does burn a little. Make sure you dilute it with enough saline (whatever amount your nurse tells you)
  It always helped me to make sure I had a really good pinch of my stomach to put the needle in. And something to lean back on, like the counter or back of a couch. It's a lot less painful than you think and once you get past the first one you'll be a pro!

  You'll be fine!  The 75 mg doesn't burn too bad.  It's when you get to 450 mg that sucks!  I was also terrified the first time I had to do it because DH was out of town but after a couple of times, you will get used to it.  My RE said we could give the shot anywhere so I did mine in my stomach when I was alone but had DH do them in my back side when he was available.  I preferred to alternate injection sites.

  The Menopur comes with Q-caps but my RE told me not to use them.  I just drew up 1 mg of the solution & mixed it directly in the vial.  Just take your time.  I know when I was up to 6 vials I would get stressed & messed up a couple of times.  Good luck!

  I use the Q caps to mix and it isn't too bad... I do 225iui 2x per day... it burns a bit.  I alternate sides of my stomach.  So far no bruising just little dots from where the needles went in.  The first couple of times it took me forever and now I can do them super quick!

  Make sure you let the alcohol dry. If you inject when it is still wet it burns like a mofo.

  I did follistimand I didn't think it was bad at all. Good luck tho!

  I totally agree with PP about pinching and varying injections points. If you hit a muscle, it can hurt a bit, so try to find some fat. Honestly, I was terrified of needles and injections before, but the needle is so fine that you hardly notice it at all. After a few days, it will become as normal as brushing your teeth.

  I got a huge welt that spread out from the menopur. RE said it was normal. I started taking benedryl 30mins before the injection and it helped with the welt considerably. My suggestion is, if you welt use benedryl. GL
