RnP to PnP

Okay so I'm SURE a variation of this question has already been asked. Sorry in advance for that.

Anyway, I'd like to make the switch but heres what I'm nervous about..

LO spits up several times a day/night and since he is obviously on an incline in the RnP I feel okay but since he will be fkat in the PnP I'm worried about him choking on it. I kinda want him to be flat though so he just gets used to the change (as opposed to putting PnP on an incline).

Any advice? I could use some easing of the nerves in regards to this.

Also, I'm not too comfortable nor do i have the self confidence to go with the co-sleeping idea.

Re: RnP to PnP

  • Our LO has been in the PnP from day one, and I always worry about this. It's probably the wrong answer, but we sortof tilt him to one side or the other. It's a very slight tilt, and we lean him up against a rolled blanket. But it's enough that it makes me feel comfortable.

  • In addition to burping him really well, you could try inclining for just a week or two. This helped us make the switch from the RNP at one month. We took the towel out at 6ish weeks and at 8 weeks she's in her crib every night.
