  Hi! I had mine while I was on BCP for IVF 2. I started stims about two weeks later. The day of I just lounged around the house and I also took the next day off- but I'm a teacher so my job is very physical. Overall it was very easy/ I just showed up at the surgery center, they knocked me out, I woke up to some cramping (took a pain pill there) and then just took regular Tylenol the rest of the day.

  I also wanted to say that it was quick. I got there around 7 and was home around 10:30. I live about twenty minutes away. Honestky the worst part was the IV because they couldn't get a vein and wouldn't go get my husband to help me relax.

  I had mine on a Saturday so I was off Sunday. I had a hysterscopy and an endo biopsy at the same appointment.  The hysterscopy was painful.  During Er I was knocked out, but during hysterscopy I wasn't so there was more pain I was feeling during the actual procedure.  It hurt but the endo biopsy hurt more.  If you are getting knocked out you will be better off.  I took that cycle off and did my FET the next cycle.  GL

  DX: Unexplained

  6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  

  IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 

  Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???

  12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical

  After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  

  2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
  BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28

  Good heavens! I work at a surgery center and ALL the hysteroscopies are done under general anesthesia! I couldn't imagine having anyone go through that awake!

  I had a hysteroscopy and laparascopy done at the same time , this was in September of last year and to be honest it was very painful the worse part is the gas the blow inside to be able to look around afterwards was causing me so much pain I was on pain killers for a week. Since your will only be the hysterospy I think that is the easy one, so don't be afraid everything will be fine Good Luck!

  We starting stimming for IUI two days after the hysteroscopy.  Definitely push for the IV, I can't imagine being awake!  After's ont too bad.  Cramping and such but I never took more than a Tylenol with Codeine.  Plan on being in bed that day, the next if you can.  I have a desk job but was still glad I had taken the extra day to be back and rocking.

  I had an in office hysteroscopy for my uterine evaluation before IVF #1.  I didn't have any anesthesia and only ibuprofen for pain.  It wasn't too bad, my HSG was way worse.

  October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

  November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

  January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

  Yeah that makes sense. Until reading this post I didn't know people were knocked out for it. Mine was done in the office.  First the hysterscopy which hurt because there was lots of poking and then the endo biopsy where they litterally suck a piece out of you.  I cried through it and DH was in the room and tried to make me feel better.  It was brutal.  I had the HSG a year ago and that was at a surgery center without anesthesia as well. If I ever have to do these things again I definitely want to be knocked out!

  I had mine done in the office - no anesthesia.  It was honestly no big deal.  A little bit of cramping was all I felt.  I ended up having an endometrial biopsy while she was in there because of some abnormal tissue... not gonna lie, that part sucked.  The hysteroscopy was really nothing though.  I took 4 motrin before and I was fine.  Some strong period-like cramps for the rest of the day, but I think that may have been due to the biopsy.  I actually had no idea people were knocked out for it.

  Hi there, I had one in August while I was under anesthesia for my laparoscopy. We decided to do it just to check things out with my arcuate uterus, though we didn't have any real reason for concern. While my doc was in there, he said it was easy enough to do a partial septoplasty. I was on pelvic rest for two weeks. The pain/recovery for me was different from an ER because I was also dealing with the extreme bloating from the lap (which was significant and more than any of my stim cycles!). I had some moderate cramping for a few days in my uterus. Doc prescribed percocet, but I didn't take any. I was able to just deal with it. The following cycle, we attempted an IUI + injects cycle (though it got canceled due to overstimulation).

  I had hysteroscopy before I was allowed to start the IVF process. I had hysteroscopy on 11/12 and ER was 12/13, ET was 12/18.  So basically it was a month from hysteroscopy to ER. I was put under, just drank gatorade most of the evening

  Thanks for all of the info ladies! I'm glad to be doing it under anesthesia since they will probably be removing whatever it was the dr saw on the saline sonogram and will be doing an endometrial bipod at the same time.
