2nd Trimester

Anyone else turning into a total space cadet?

This isn't my first baby, and I know spacy is normal, but I feel like I am extra spacey with this pregnancy.... And worried or hyper aware of weird things.  Anyone else dealing with this?  TY!

Re: Anyone else turning into a total space cadet?

  • I am definitely feeling a bit flighty these days. Clumsy and forgetful as well! You are not alone!

  • It's crazy how dumb I am...yesterday instead of referring to a paragraph being centred, I told my boss it was middled. Like come on! Lol

  • I was in a total panic in the car the other day. Got in and couldn't find my new expensive sunglasses my dh have me, I knew he would be so upset if I lost them! After frantically emptying out my purse, glove box, diaper bag... And getting ready to get me and dd out of the car to go look inside the store - they were sitting in my lap. Duh.

  • So glad it is not just me! All I can do is crack up at myself!
  • I called Thomas' english muffins, 'english muffisses' the other day. The kids at work laugh at me and have taken to calling me 'Preggo' :-)

I paid my gym bill AND my student loans twice each this month ...I have lost my mind! I just hope it comes back after little one makes her appearance.

  • Definitely more spacey these days!
  • Yes. It's terrible. Last week, I put cheese in the kitchen cabinet, and then this week, I put a dirty spatula back in the drawer, and put a container of leftovers in the dishwasher. I don't trust myself at all.

  • I have forgotten so many things in this last week, I hate it! I am usually so on top of everything. I told my husband I finally believe pregnancy brain is real!

  • Oh yes! My keys regularly get left in the ignition! Sigh....
  • Glad to hear I'm not alone.  This is my first pregnancy and I'm usually a bit forgetful, but lately I've felt like a total space cadet!  I forget things I normally wouldn't, I zone out at times.  I needlessly worry about silly things, my brain can't stop focusing on them.  Some of this spacey-ness is happening at work (I work in a lab) which is starting to make me nervous.  I'm afraid I'll forget something important one of these days and really mess up  :(  I just feel like my mind is not my own lately
  • Yep! I am an RN and have been triple checking everything I do just to be sure I don't make any dumb mistakes! You are not alone!
