UPDATE ! Car accident :(

**UPDATE : Well Im back from the hospital and ultrasound and I got to see our LO all snug inside

The tech looked for any placental abnormalities and possible bleeding and checked on the baby in general. Heart beat was 152bpm and I got to see baby moving around ! The thing about Canadian health care is that the US Tech cant tell me ANYTHING about what he sees, just refers me to a Dr for the report. Knowing that, I was prepared and asked him if there was ANY reason I needed to see a Dr before Monday ( which is when my Dr is back in the office ) and he said No there was no reason. Thats as much reassurance I could get but Ill take it to mean baby is safe. Still no bleeding which I am SO thankful for, just getting pretty darn sore muscles.

Yesterday afternoon I was in an accident where I was t boned on the passenger side

Thank fully everyone walked away without serious injuries but both me and the other driver were taken to hospital and it looks like the cars will be written off

Im so scared that the baby is hurt. I went to both the ER and the birthing unit at the hospital and they found the baby's heartbeat thank god and I have an ultrasound today. No bleeding so far but I have been placed on a week bed rest to be safe. Im sooooooo upset this happened !!! Part of me is mad at the other driver and part of me is just so scared for the baby . I know there is nothing they can do if there is something wrong so Im trying to just stay calm....easier said than done ! UGHHHHH!!!!

Try not to stress, the babys heartbeat was found so just try to relax and get some rest, your body is going to be sore from the impact. As @JuJuB22 said, baby is pretty well protected in there so just try to relax. T&Ps for youu!

Very stressful, so sorry this happened!

Rest up and do your best not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know). Glad everyone including baby is checking out ok, hope the ultrasound just confirms everything is good.

Hope you're doing ok! If it gives you any peace of mind, my mom was in a bad car accident (head-on telephone pole) with my sister when she was about 6 months along. Both of them were fine and my sis was born (healthy!) the following June.

So scary! Glad you and baby are ok, sounds like you're mostly just shaken up. I got into a snowy accident just before New Year's and had/have absolutely no problems, praise God. My midwife assured me, like everyone else is saying, babies have lots of padding/protection!

How scary! Glad you're OK. If baby was distressed they'd be able to tell so I would just try to rest as much as possible.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I was in an accident when I was 20 weeks pregnant with my DD, and my car was totaled. If it is any comfort to you at all, everything was totally fine with DD. I of course was terrified and worried, and requested some extra doppler checks and an u/s, but the baby is pretty well protected in there. T&P that you get some reassurance at your ultrasound!

I'm sure they drew blood work on you to make sure the baby isn't bleeding into you. Other than that, I would be reassured with the HB and no bleeding!

Glad everything is ok with you and baby.
I understand how you feel. I was in a car accident the day after Christmas. It is very scary and nothing I wish anyone to go through. Make sure to get your rest and watch for any kind of pain. I was very scared ever since mine was until I went to day and had an appointment. Once I get to hear the heartbeat of the baby I knew everything was all good. I am sure the doc. will keep a close eye on you. If you do not think something is right make sure to call the doc. and let them know how you feel. Try not to stress out ( I know easier said then done) find some good books and do lots of posting on the bump. LOL

Super scary, I too was in a car accident when pregnant with DD I think I was around 30ish weeks, same, everything was fine ( same deal checked out at the hospitals birthing center) and DD is now a very healthy and sassy 4.5yr old
