For the past few days I have been having a extreme pain in my lower belly & back!! The pain gets to the point where I can't walk. (About ever 5 min) I have called my doctor about it, & they told me if it gets any more painful to come in.
I go to the Ob trrw & going to asked to he checked! I was just wanting to know if there is any other moms-2-be out there who has had this!!
I have to older kids ( a 2 year old & a 1 year old) and i didn't have this with them. It feels different then a BH & don't want to go to the hospital just to be sent home!!
Please help!!!

  • It does sound like it could be contractions. Good thing you're going in tomorrow. No harm in getting checked! I'm 35 weeks also and have been having the worst butt pressure ever and terrible lightning crotch to the point where I can't walk, so I feel ya. Good luck!

  • 35 wks and 6 days... Since about my 34th wk I've also had pain in my lower extremities. I also haven't been able to see my OB in 3 wks - so when I see her tomorrow - I will also be asking about that pain - I thought it was just the baby dropping, and that's what I hope it is.... However, it's very painful to walk anywhere, and it hurts in my pelvis and buttocks areas... even just sitting or standing, it hurts. I am hoping it's normal and not something dangerous... I'm a New MTB... so this is my first child and it's a boy. I don't know if that makes a difference to the pain I am feeling, but it feels weird.

I hope your pain will subside and that things are alright with you! I hope to find out tomorrow too!
  • I have also been having lightning crotch since about 25 weeks but definitely it has gotten worse these past couple weeks. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and was checked for the first time yesterday. Be prepared that after you get checked it might make the pain worse thats what happened to me.
  • Found out my baby is sitting in position and causing the pain in my pelvis and lower back area, (sigh) that's a relief... but my abdomen still feels tight - but I'm thinking it's because he's a big baby and he's trying to make more room! Also, I am usually trying to keep from OVER filling my stomach as it causes my abdomen to feel even tighter. But I'd still suggest letting OBGYN know your issues.
