Q: about teething biscuits/fries

For those who made those teething biscuits that was posted a few weeks back, are they supposed to crumble and dissolve in the mouth like a cracker, be hard to gnaw on, or be like bread?
I followed the recipe to a T and minecame out like bread. I feel like there is just no way Owen would be able to eat it. I gave him one and he managed to get a peice off, but I quickly took it out of his mouth and took it away from him.

Anyway, curious if this is how they are supposed to be or not?

Also, anyone make sweet potato fries? Did you season them, or leave them plain? Does your lo like them? O refuses any veggie, so I hope he likes these.

Are there any foods purees, or whole food that you've made that your lo loves?

Re: Q: about teething biscuits/fries

  • Mine came out like that too.  I let DD eat them but we BLW, they were not what I was looking for.

I thought they'd be hard so she could gnaw on them a bit.

If you are open to whole foods maybe fruits that are juicy so LO could suck the juice out?

this, my lo seems to like them (I used apple sauce instead of the oil). He never finished one but they get really slimy and occupy him while I make lunch or dinner.

  • Our teething biscuits came out like bread as well. LO knawed on them for awhile and enjoyed it but couldn't really eat them

He loves sweet potato fries though. First time I made them plain but size then I've been making them with olive oil and cinnamon and he loves them

  • Yeah, these biscuit things were not what I was expecting either.

I just pulled my fries out of the oven, tried one..and they are chewy. : sigh:
I cut them small like fries, maybe I need to make wedges??

Owen wants to eat, he will sometimes take a few spoonfulls of apple sauce, and a little bit of yogurt. He wants whatwe have, he likes to try and feed himself but whenever I give him something he always takes a huge chunk and it freaks me out!! He can't use his pincher fingers to grab yet, so I'm trying to make things that he can grab, and eat without giving me a heartattack!
