Breastfeeding

Sudafed

I'm 13 months postpartum and exclusively pump 3x/day. I've tried the "natural" ways to diminish my supply with no results (cabbage leaves, eating peppermints, dried sage). I still make around 24 oz. Sudafed was my last resort. How often do I take it? Can I give this milk to my daughter?

Re: Sudafed

  • I'm confused. The best way to diminish your supply is to reduce demand.  gradually reduce the amount of time you pump and then drop one pumping session at a time.  Do NOT pump until you empty your breasts, otherwise they will just keep thinking they need to make more milk.

If you keep pumping 3 times a day, sudafed isn't going to be very helpful
