What's for dinner?

https://m.foodnetwork.com/recipes/32087

I can't remember the last time I cooked an actual meal, so I made Swedish meatballs. Just have to cook them and the sauce later.

I made a double batch to stick in the freezer for when I go back to work. I know I will just want to come home and nurse Hoyt, buy someone as to make dinner. (MH works nights and will nap as soon as I get home because Hoyt will be home with him during the day until the end of April.)

Link the recipes if you have them!

  • I had bacon, eggs, and a bagel. Do you need a recipe for that?

  • Friday is pizza night when my stepdaughters are here. So no help - sorry
This week we've had tacos, meatloaf, steaks, and spaghetti
  • Leftover steamed brown rice with grilled chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots chopped up in it. I was feeling super healthy last night. Its pretty much fried rice minus the whole butter and being fried thing.

That being said I was not feeling healthy for breakfast today and had an awesome powdered sugar covered, lemon filled donut for breakfast. SOOOO good!
  • I'm making burgers. It's easy and I can make one package make 2-3 burgers for DH and me each if I stretch it. And frozen french fries. Totally eating healthy at our house.

Tomorrow I'm making a ham and it's pretty much going to be dinner for the next 4-5 nights after that.

  • Delivery again... Pizza or Indian? I'm also going to make popcorn and watch a movie!
  • I'm making honey mustard chicken, green beans & baked potatoes for tonight. It's a new recipe for me, so we will see. Tomorrow we are having a roasted pork loin, potatoes Au gratin and salad. And Sunday is beef stroganoff.
  • Ordering Chinese most likely. Must be the trend tonight.

  • I do not like bacon.
This is me. Unless it's turkey bacon. That ish is delish.
This exactly I love turkey bacon bc it doesn't have the white gross grisly fat that pork bacon does. That just grosses me out!
  • Oh! DH just volunteered to make dinner tonight. This should be interesting (he's never cooked anything that didn't come from a box). This is gonna be cute.

  • Open face roast beef sandwiches with real mashed potatoes and home made bread.
SO made buffalo chicken mac and cheese last night. I kind of wish there were leftovers.

  • Ugh, I wish I knew. I took meat out of the freezer this morning. SO said he was going to cook but decided to go run errands first because he's not hungry yet. I. AM. STARVING. I just ate 2 everything bagels to tide me over, it's not working.
  • Meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. Dh loves my meatloaf. It's nothing special, but i love that he gets super excited about it.

  • DH picked up some polish sausage or something to make. So I'm heating those up, throwing some frozen fries in the oven, and making a salad. Gourmet cooking in our house tonight!

  • Jambalaya. From a box. Which DH added random stuff to from the fridge and it turned out awesome. I wish I could be brave like that. I also wish I could cook things that didn't' start out in a box.

  • Trying a new recipe tonight from Get Crocked for chicken Parmesan. When I made it this morning after feeding and diapering the baby I felt like a domestic goddess/1950s housewife. I will let you know how it turns out (and if Don Draper walks through my door with a martini).

  • The pizza for dinner didn't cut it. So DH ran to the store and I hinted at ChickFilA. He brought me back a salad...covered in blue cheese...which makes me gag :-( He thought he was being nice by going with a salad. Thankfully he also brought me a strawberry milkshake!
  • I had frozen pie crusts leftover from thanksgiving, and our neighbor brought us a bunch of produce from the onsite farm, so I made a spinach/Parmesan and a broccoli/cheddar quiche and DH made potatoes to go with. Hoping the quiches last a couple of days!
