May have oversold it,doesn't look as impressive in this picture. But high vaulted ceilings, tons of cupboards/ cabinets and counters -- what you can't see is that it is an open concept into the dining room and a lofted living room (which is where I took the pic from).
@jthree your room looks like it's from a magazine. Ours in a work in progress... and with a co sleeping baby our mattress in on the floor. Not exactly picture worthy.
@jthree we have very similar taste - our bedroom furniture is almost identical, we bought it this year for our joint anniversary gift... only difference is it looks like your bed is a king, and ours is a queen, which I am deeply regretting lately!
I call it my creepy seance table. We got it off of craigslist and she said it was from the 20's. We brought it home when I was pregnant and immediately our dog hated it and started barking at it. It freaked me out a little bit. He wouldn't even come into the living room. But then he got better so......
Probably our pool area which I designed from scratch and searched everywhere for the perfect furniture. Now I just wished I lived somewhere I could use more than 3 months out of the year.
@knitfaced, those highchairs look so unique! Where are they from??
They are from a brand called Svan. We splurged and bought one new when we had my son, but I did not want to shell out for a second one so I got the second one used off craigslist.
@supertoots Thanks!! Before this we had no headboard and my husbands parents old furniture. This was our major redo last year.
@jss1002 I definitely think we have similar taste as my kitchen is very similar to your style as well! Our bed is actually a California king... My husband is 6'4" so it works best for him.
@knitfaced I love your dining room. I love the character and built ins!
I am envious of your bed -- I feel like DH is trying to suffocate me lately in our "tiny" queen...
My favorite is the master shower--it's huge and because of the glass, DS is so content because he can see me the.whole.time.
Eta: my shower looks grimey! I can promise it's just the colors of the tiles--there's so many different colors
That looks so relaxing. I wish we had a nicer bathroom!
Thanks! It was super relaxing before we had A. No he sits on the floor with his nose squished into the glass, haha! I usually pull him in with me and then it's 2 for 1 deal! No bath for him
It's not done yet but I'm hoping it will be by the end of winter. When we moved in it was just concrete and some drywall. There are two bedrooms down here too that I hope to have done by next winter. All we have left really is the baseboards and a door to cover the storage under the stairs. Anyway it's the only place in our house that we put carpet so we made it extra squishy and soft for the kids to have somewhere cozy to play. I think that's my favorite part. DH loves the projector of course.
Hopefully I'm doing this right - first time posting a pic. This isn't a rom - but the view from our living room. I took this picture on move-in day so there's no furniture or anything in there, but you can see how big the windows are. I love sitting in the living room when it's snowing this time of year and just relaxing. It doesn't happen as much now as it once did, but I try to play with LO in here when I can.
We just moved into our new house not too long ago so we're still getting settled. My daughters room is by far my favorite room in the house. I don't have a picture of it now that we have her decorations up on the wall and all of that, but this is the basis of what it looks like now.....just imagine some cute stuff on the walls by her bed too.
I'm with @knitfaced - my dining room is my fave. These pics I just took aren't great... But it came out almost exactly like I envisioned. Greek pics framed, my farmhouse table and big green cabinet. It's our "formal" dining room, but definitely not formal at all.
Re: PIP your house.
@jss1002 love the dark cabinets!
@jss1002 love it. Great kitchen for entertaining!
