Sooo. We are at the hospital and will be here overnight. Colton has been battling terrible congestion and wheezing for months on and off and it got worse since Monday so I took him to his pedi this morning. After spending all afternoon at home doing nebulizer treatments every two hours (we were already on them when he got worse), pedi brought us back in to examine him. Because his wheezing hasn't improved, he sent us to the hospital for overnight observation. I know they are just being cautious but it still breaks my heart to see my Colton in the hospital bed....
It's gonna be a long night

.
Eta: He tested positive for rsv but based on the history, the dr thinks it's asthmatic worsened by rsv. Even though I guess he's too young to be officially diagnosed with asthma. They also did a chest X-ray but don't think that he has pneumonia since he's not running a fever.
It wasn't fun trying to get him to sleep with no bedtime routine and in a hospital room but he finally fell asleep.
Thank you ladies.
Eta: they are just monitoring his oxygen level through his big toe. No needles, thank god. But why does the hospital crib look like a prison cell?

ETA: fortunately his oxygen level didn't drop much overnight so we got to come home today. Yay! He's still very wheezy and congested and we are on frequent nebulizer treatments but we are all so happy to be back home. We are going back to our pedi on Monday and seeing a specialist on Thursday but he's doing well. Thank you all ladies for your love. I really appreciate it!

Re: This is no fun (update X 2)
@chicagochic82 my husband just left to go home and get some items including his lovey.
It wasn't fun trying to get him to sleep with no bedtime routine and in a hospital room but he finally fell asleep.
Thank you ladies.
He tested positive for rsv but the dr thinks that based on his long history of wheezing, it's asthmatic but worsened by rsv. Dr said he will most likely has asthma growing up. I had it growing up also so I guess he got that from me....
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
I hope your ER visit is going well. Those nosebleeds sound scary!
