give me your stroller recommendations please

We bought an Eddie Bauer travel system from target and I absolutely hate the stroller. The handle moves up and down all the time and it is impossible to steer it one handed, I find the wheels to be overly sensitive. As soon as baby is out of her bucket seat I will be purchasing a new stroller. I dont want to spend massive amounts of money but don't want to cheap out either. So tell me what you love and/or hate about your stroller please. Thank you!!

We have the B- agile and love it so far. Haven't used it without the carrier but it is light, folds up easily, and handles really well. It's similar to the City Mini but less expensive.

This. I love it. My only complaint is that when it is folded the handle rests on the ground. It's gross and in worried about it tearing up the padding. It's really easy to fold and unfold, carry and pop the car seat in and out, etc.

  • I have the city mini. I love it. Its very smooth, agile, lightweight, and you can fold it with one hand. The drawbacks are that the basket underneath is a little too small and its a little pricey. The stroller was my one splurge, since I live car-less in NYC and push the stroller anywhere from 1-5 miles/day.

  • I also have the city mini gt. Iooove it. I can navigate with one hand, and i feel like a race car driver rolling it, it drives great. Also folds with one hand and lightweight. The GT wheels great for snow and rain too and weird terrain.
  • I also have the Britax b agile. We love it for reasons PP mentioned above

  • We have the City Mini and I love it. It has also held up really well now that it is 2+ years old.

  • City Mini GT here, too. It folds up small with one hand. Wheels come off for more compact storage if you need it. Handles well. Easily steers with one hand.

I have the Britax B Agile system. Love the stroller but hate the car seat.  But since you are only using it for the stoller I highly recommend.  I just received an email from Albee baby saying that britax merchandise is 40% off.

edited: to add that the City Mini is on sale for $175 as well!

BOB Revolution SE! It was pricey, but I would definitely recommend it. We love it. Amazing maneuverability, and it's easy to fold and stick in the trunk (not super compact, but that's what you get when you choose a jogging stroller). The only thing I don't like is that the underneath compartment thing isn't super easily accessible. But I love it.

Curious -- what do you hate about the car seat?

  • I also have the Uppababy Vista and I love it. Yes, it cost a fortune but like @Jupiter62 I live car-less in a city so it's worth it. The basket is HUGE so I can fit all my groceries in it, or big bags of pet food, so it's made errands so much easier! And it handles really well.
  • I have the Uppababy Vista and I love it. I can steer with one hand, the basket at the bottom is nice and roomy, the seat fully reclines and I can have it facing me or outwards.

I have one also. I adore it. I grocery shop with it since the basket is so big. Works well on pavement, gravel and snow. folds down really easily and is fairly light.

They are pricey but I bought mine gently used for half of retail and it came with all the accessories.

  • Oh, I am hoping to score a used chariot too. I want a good jogger and you can get accessories to pull the chariot behind yourself skiing, behind a bike and jog with it.

I agree with PP about loving the stroller but not the car seat. My reasoning is the car seat is pretty heavy. I wouldn't say I hate it but def don't love it like I do the stroller.

Yes...maybe hate is a strong word.  It is extremely heavy and it is made like a bucket seat so LO sinks down in the middle. I have noticed that my friend's car seats lay the baby more flat. Just looks more comfortable.

  • I have the City Select baby jogger and love it!! It's not a jogger, it's an everyday stroller. I got it because it can turn into a double stroller when we have baby #2. I also love how it can change into 16 different seating positions and has tons of storage! image

You're completely right about it being like a bucket. I just thought that's how car seats were supposed to be. I'm constantly pulling LO up. He just seems so slummed down.

  • We have the Uppababy G-luxe. It is fabulous: Light weight, great engineering on the wheels, easy to open/close with one hand, and magically the handles work for both me (5'6") and my DD (6'6")
  • Thank you so much ladies! I will keep your recommendations in mind when it comes time to purchase!!
  • We have the City Select and I like it, but I definitely would've gone with the City Mini if we didn't want the option for a double. So much easier to fold than the select, and more compact.

  • I have a Britax B-Ready stroller and the B-Safe carseat. The stroller is awesome if you want to go for a walk or need an all terrain stroller, however it is a challenge to navigate it through a store, the wheel base is pretty wide and we are constantly bumping into things with it. But the stroller folds easily , has a huge basket and is easy to push one handed. The carseat is pretty heavy ( like PP said) , I think its almost 10 lbs, so now that LO is 17+ lbs, it is really hard lugging him around in his carseat. I do feel like it is a really good quality and safe seat though, and I like the material , it wipes clean easily..

  • I am using a city mini while on vacation and I hate the basket. So small and I can't even get my diaper bag in it while lo is in the seat.
